via this auction: "The first 20 Seconds from the link is a 3P for the synth." The main riff of course was the DX7. It's not clear of the JX-3P was the actual one used for the track or if they are just mentioning it in general. I'm guessing in general or the description would have been more distinct.
Update via J. Schnabble in the comments: "I'm pretty sure the opening riff is a Jupiter 8. The chord stabs are handled by the JX-3P."
"This JX-3P has been used in our personal studio and it sounds awesome. It was famously used in the Beverly Hills Cop movie (Video can be seen Here [above] - The first 20 Seconds from the link is a 3P for the synth)
Functional condition: The 'sens' slider used for editing only returns to 2 or 3 instead of 1. So instead of editing a range on the synth from 1-16 it's editing from a 3-16 range. The sliders and pots all appear to be in decent condition, with nothing to suggest the sens slider has a material defect (it glides smoothly through it's range with no jumping values) but I don't know what else it could be. I didn't test the sequencer but I don't see any reason for it not to be working. The chorus is functioning. 32 sounds are saved in the editable user memory. All keys, buttons tested, LFO trigger, pitch bender, all are functioning. All voices are smooth and fully functional."

"This version of the BassStation has a built in midi/cv converter for communicating with (sequencing) older gear . It has 2 analog oscillators and an analog filter- it's very warm and fat analog sounding."

via this auction "Oberheim two voice for your consideration, this unit just got serviced by the local bay area expert on vintage synths. It has modifications, external clock input so you can trigger the sequencer from a gate and it even has a polarity switch and gain knob so it can accept different clock types. It has a pot modded onto each SEM that is for external audio input gain. It has a sync switch which allows you to sync osc1 on SEM2 to osc1 on SEM1 so you can have all the oscillators synced! It has two outputs added for the individual SEMs though they seem to be extremely hot signals and overdrive if pushed high at all. There are a couple switches I can't understand, one on each SEM that seems to give more resonance maybe and one mystery one on the sequencer. This synth has obviously had some serious mod work done, I had the tech calibrate the SEMS so they tune nicely and the keyboard works great! Overall a very functional and incredible sounding two voice, I never knew how cool the sequencer was until I played it."
