"Here's for sale The Mega Rare & Highly Sought After ULT-SOUND DS-4 Custom By Toyo Gakki made in Japan in the Early 70s... The Ult Sound DS-4 is an amazing Analog Drum Machine composed of 4 Oscillators which can be triggered from the Voltage Control Inputs either all Oscillators at once or each Oscillator individually, each Oscillator section is capable of producing a wide range of different sounds from Bass Drums, Snares, Cymbals, Etc, as well as all kinds of space sounds & other very complex sounds which made this Analog Drum Machine famous for those particular sounds at the time.

There were two models of these units made, the "BLACK" faced model which was the most common and the "CUSTOM" Model which is the hardest to find usually sell for over $ 3,100 but I am only selling mine for $ 2,650 shipping included because Christmas is coming and wanna buy some new stuff in my studio.



Many artists and bands like The Yellow Magic Orchestra used the Ult-Sound DS-4 in their live performances and recordings in the late 70's and early 80's..."

All 4 tracks have been sequenced inside the new Elektron Analog Four. I wanted to show various parameters for Filters, Oscillators and 'how it sounds' while playing this composition. There is no external processing, everything you hear is from the Analog Four.

Tuning fork oscillator

"This is not exactly musical. But still there must be some way that it can be used for musical purposes.
Anyway, the tuning fork oscillator was often used in clocks and other places where frequency stability was important before the crystal oscillator became common. I found an old tuning fork that looked like it had been used for this purpose in a second hand or junk sale some years ago. I decided to try and make the driving system for such a device and this is the result.

The idea is that two electro magnets are connected to an amplifier - one to the input, the other to the output - and when they are brought together with a tuning fork in the middle the whole thing will start to oscillate - just as if you put a microphone too close to the speaker in a PA system. But since the tuning fork can only oscillate at one frequency this will determine the oscillation.

The music is something I made a while ago using Yamaha HE-8 and Technics SX-C600 organs, Roland JX-8P synthesizer, and Roland CR-68 analogue drum machine."
