The Pyramid Synthesisers

via nervoussquirrel.com where you'll find additional info and pics.

"Another collaboration with Pete Fowler - two pyramid-shaped analogue synthesisers with hand painted casings.

They began as part of an animated music video that Pete made for The Horrors, and then afterwards Richard Russell (XL Recordings) decided to commission a real life version. It was decided to make two synths in the end, one for Richard and one for The Horrors to use. They each have a catalog number, "XLRD001 001" and "XLRD001 002".

The whole project was massive fun from beginning to end - everyone involved was really nice, complete artistic freedom was given, lots of enthusiasm and encouragement from every direction! Once they were finished, Nathan Pask took these great photos

Each synth contains a Sound Lab mark II, built from a circuit board sold by Music From Outer Space."

"Minipops 120 internals! Diode matrices, forests of components, a diagnostic nightmare. I have to replace the Change/Break rotary switch and the Rhythm A/B toggle, and thought I would take some gut shots of this marvel."

Arduino drum machine + synth module with MIDI input

Published on Jun 30, 2012 micogirl·1 video

Left channel audio only.

"Arduino MEGA was used for the drum machine and Arduino UNO for the synth module with a MIDI input. Both are enclosed in a "groovebox".
Output through PWM, 8 bit resolution, 31372,55 Hz sample rate.
I have to thank the authors of Auduino. My project started from it and here is the result.
edit:
Documentation (only in Slovene) and source code are available on my web page http://www.mitjacerkvenik.com , you can find them under Projects. Please donate so I can take some time to translate documentation in English. Thanks!"

Pics of the inside below.

"original R.A. Moog Melodia Theremin by Bob Moog probably produced in the early 1960ies.

To my knowledge this is a factory produced theremin not a kit model.

The front panel shows beautiful Melodia logo together with the R.A. Moog logo...it shines history..

Item is in great restored condition, inside looks good. No excessive corrosion etc.

Woodwork is all original and great condition, original brass volume antenna plate on the side in place.

Antenna has been replace with modern one, old antenna was missing."
