"A little messabout on the Octatrack, showing how it can easily create lots of weirdness from a basic instrumental loop.

A monomachine loop provided the original raw material but only the octatrack is used in this video."

Corey Henry (Kronos Sound Demonstration)

Published on Mar 18, 2013 KorgUSAVideos·346 videos

"Solo artist and Snarky Puppy keyboardist, Cory Henry, joined us at Korg USA for a test drive of the Korg Kronos X, along with the optional EXs, and KRS Expansion Sample Series libraries available at http://www.korg.com/kronossoundlibraries

As an established gospel and jazz fusion keyboardist, Cory knows the importance of having an inspiring instrument at your fingertips: "The Kronos does a great job of making you feel as if the instrument that you're playing is right in the same room as you. Every time I browse another sound, it kind of gets me into a different place that makes me just want to play, as if I am a violin player, or if I have an actual electric piano in my house. It does a great job of making you feel that you're playing the actual instrument."

In every channel you can change: trigger signal sensitivity, base tone pitch, pitch envelope time, amount of pitch modulation, noise/tone ballance, filter's cutoff for noise, accent amount, channel's volume. The synth has also built-in beatbox with 16 patterns. The beatbox and the synthesizer are independent modules so they can work at the same time freely..."

Controlling a Eurorack Modular with the iPad & Lemur

Controlling my Eurorack from my iPad (Lemur) from Icaro Ferre on Vimeo.

"In this video I'm trying to use the Lemur app on my iPad to control my Doepfer A-106-5 module in my Eurorack.

So basically the A-106-5 is receiving CV from my Expert Sleepers ES-3 (which is receiving data from the Silent Way plugin on my mac via lightpipe).
The Lemur app is connected to my mac and it's mapped to Silent Way's parameters.

Kinda cool, kinda nerdy.

PS: I know I'm moving the camera a lot but my idea was to document the process so I didn't pay much attention to the excessive amount of movement! Sorry :)"
