"The Roland Synthesizer 101 was part of the 5 module System 100, the Synth 101 being the heart and soul of the system.
This rare, mint Synth 101 is a 37 key analog mono synth with controls for the VCO, LFO, VCF, VCA and more. The tone from this synth is suprisingly and shockingly thick, subwoofer use is highly recommended! This synth is in excellent condition and has been thoroughly tested in the Roland certified service department of Professional Sound and Music
Made from 1975 - 1979"

"TR-606 with Analog Solutions mods:

midi in/thru
hats decay
toms distortion
toms tone
cymbals tone
trigger LEDs
separate outs
sequencer run/off switch
hats filter

The attached box has further functions but may not be hooked up, maybe needs a re solder. Originally modded in the UK. The markings say: snare decay, oscilatorz, snare filter, noise, cymbal rez, snare snap, snare tone. Snare does not trigger. But even without these this unit already sounds better than my un modded 606..."

BISCUITING

Mute or invert each of the 8 bits of the digital signal by pressing one of the 8 rectangular switches, to generate strong distortions with an intense digital character. Lower the sample frequency down to 250 Hz for aliasing effects and use the multimode analog filter to get a warm and fat sound. You can mix this 8-bit sound with the direct signal via two separate knobs.

EFFECTS:

Add one of the following 8-bit effects to your bit modifications : Waveshaper, Delay, Pitchshifter, Step Filter Each effect contains one or several parameters to set.

PRESETS :

Save all the BISCUIT functions (bit status, knobs positions, effects and filter settings) to one of its 16 presets. You can also save as many presets as you like on your computer using the Preset Dump function (MIDI SysEx).

MIDI :

BISCUIT is MIDI compatible. Every pot, switch and effects setting can be sent or can be controlled by a continuous controller message (known as CC). BISCUIT accepts MIDI Clock messages to synchronize Delay and Step filter effects. BISCUIT firmware can be upgraded via a MIDI SysEx file.

FEATURES :

Stereo inputs and Outputs Input gain from -∞ & to 15 dB with diode clipping Real 8-bit Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog converters Unique capability of muting and inverting each of the 8 bits Variable sample clock from 250 Hz to 30 kHz True analog multimode filter with resonance control FX section : Waveshaper, Delay, Pitch Shifter and Step Filter Separate control of dry and 8-bit signals 16 presets MIDI : Continuous Controller, Beat Clock, Program Change and Sysex for presets True relay Bypass Rugged metallic Neutrik © jacks Built like a tank : Thick metal case and strong build Dimensions : 190mm x 60mm x 117mm / 7.48" x 2.36" x 4.60" (WxDxH) Weight : 580g / 1.27 lbs"

RARE ROLAND OP-8 CV INTERFACE SN 310682

"Designed to control Roland polyphonic synths that were equipped with a DCB (Dig. Control Bus) interface via the Roland MC4 micro composer. They are connected with a DCB cable.( not supplied) The OP8 and MC4 were then patched together using patchcords via each of their patchbays. The transpose control was able to transpose the synth up or down by one octave. Use a mono analog synth /sequencer such as an MC-202 to drive your Jupiter or Juno as I did through the OP-8 and you will find it also adds a different colour to the mix. Unlimited possibilities especially today with the Midi to CV like Kenton where you can use each channel to play different melodies to drive your synth..."
