"Ivan Tcherepnin (Cyrillic: Иван Александрович Черепнин)(February 5, 1943 in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France -- April 11, 1998 in Boston, USA) was an experimental, then later modernist/postmodernist, composer. He was born into a highly musical family, his father and grandfather, Alexander and Nikolai, being distinguished Russian composers, and his mother Ming a well-known pianist. His elder brother, Serge is also a composer. He studied with Leon Kirchner, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Henri Pousseur, and Pierre Boulez. After teaching briefly at both the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Stanford University, he became director of the Harvard University Electronic Music Studio from 1972, remaining there until his death in 1998. The Tcherepnin legacy continues with two of Ivan's sons, Stefan and Sergei.

Spectral Analyzer S8 for Max For Live

"Spectrum Analyzer S8 is a multiple-track real time spectrum analyzer. It lets you visualize the spectral content of 8 stereo tracks simultaneously. You can use it as a frequency overlap detector and actually see which part of the spectrum every single instrument uses. The ideal solution for mixing!"
You can find it here. There is also a stand alone version here.

Happy Nerding "Fun VCF" Test2 (modular synth filter)
Published on Apr 11, 2013 JohnLRice·196 videos
"Yes "Fun VCF" is actually the name of this well titled filter! :-) More info at:
http://www.happynerding.com/
Lately my time has been very limited but I wanted to get a second test video out for this great filter so I did it fairly quickly and unplanned and didn't take the time to do annotations. It should be fairly straight forward what I'm doing, just patching different combinations and playing with the controls. (commonly known as 'wiggling'! ;-)
1) 0:15 - 7:00 noise being processed through the Fun VCF
2) 7:01 - 11:45 two VCO's being processed through the Fun VCF modulated with an ADSR
3) 11:46 - 14:32 two VCO's being processed through the Super Sawtor first then through the Fun VCF and modulated by a sequencer
Thanks for watching!"
