"Artist: Drumcell
Album Title: Sleep Complex
Catalog number: CLRCD013
Release date: 30.08.13

***

On August 30th 2013 CLR will release the debut album of our new label member Drumcell entitled "Sleep Complex", an emotionally profound, open-minded approach to current Techno with a variety of influences and a complete disregard for any limitations musical genres could possibly represent. A few basic facts about the life of this dedicated Techno activist will help you understand the absorbing atmosphere of this exceptional record even better.

The album is an experimentation with analogue modular synthesizers and a variety of digital tools. By working within the limitations of an individual instrument it inspired each single song to have its own unique feeling or sound. Drumcell is really laying it down here and you should definitely pay attention to this state of the art Techno album. May "Sleep Complex" now speak for itself.

FYI, I created a new Phillip Stearns label for his work starting with this and the previous post. He actually has been featured numerous times on the site, dating back to 2009. You can click here and scroll through posts featuring Phillip in reverse chronological order.

Improv SYNTHBOY+ MOD3

Published on Jul 26, 2013 deathstarchris·18 videos

"Had a chance to sit down with some euro modular gear and push a couple of Synthboy+'s with the MOD3 upgrade. I used the new 'Clock Synced LFO' from www.ginkosynthese.com to control timing and also for those crazy timing changes. The rest of the gear is from Pittsburgh Modular. Includes the modules 'timetable', 'vcbend', 'sequencers' and 'adsr'. MOD3 is very responsive to analog gear. For more info on Synthboy+ MOD3, here is a link:

Thank you for all of your support."

NIN's Charlie Clouser Signed Nord Rack 3?

"What follows is a long winded story. I'm not changing the price because of this info. It is listed at what I bought it for.

My first synth was a Nord 2. When I was still in college, a friend linked me a page that mentioned Clouser was selling a bunch of his used gear. I had been lusting after a nord three for a while but it was another person selling Clousers equipment for him. The seller was kind enough to mail it to Clouser (the shipping label was clipped and will ship with this auction) in LA have him sign it and send it on to me. He did and it was dedicated as follows;

'Jonathan H? Who the hell is that?!?'

It is also signed and then curiously marked with a NIN logo. This was in 2003 and Clouser was on to his own projects after 2000. I've been keeping it around for sentiment ever since.

In my excitement, I took it right out of the mailing box and smeared the crap out of my name. Apparently the metallic marker took days to cure.

So there you go, if you are a huge 1993-200 NIN or of Clouser's other work, you can get a little piece of that on ebay. If you aren't you can get a totally awesome rack synth. People who see will comment about the lights, they always do."
