The Polyphonic MicroBrute, part 2
Published on Jan 27, 2014 Expert Sleepers·104 videos
"This video shows four Arturia MicroBrutes working as a four-voice polysynth.
The MicroBrutes are connected via MIDI to an Expert Sleepers ESX-8MD module, driven by the Expert Sleepers Silent Way software. Silent Way takes the polyphonic MIDI generated by the controller keyboard and distributes it between the MicroBrutes, so that each works as one voice of a polysynth.
This setup allows the Silent Way/ESX-8MD combination to replace a standalone polyphony distribution box. However there are many other advantages to generating MIDI via the Expert Sleepers system: see e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S2Af5...

"Oxygene I" - on Technics, Elka and Yamaha organs
Published on Jan 27, 2014 organfairy·407 videos
"Sometimes serendipity just kicks in without a warning. I was at a second hand sale last year and upon leaving I passed the bin they used for scrapped stuff - things they thought couldn't be sold. In this unlikely place I saw the little Zoom 505 guitar effects pedal and they didn't mind me taking it. At home I connected it and it worked. No repairs needed.
It has a phaser that sounds quite good with the Elka organ strings and what could be more natural than to play this classic piece by J.M.Jarre. I know purists says that I should use a SmallStone instead. But why should I make an exact copy of the record?
I had the sheet music again this time and I follow it quite close. I have said it before: JMJ doesn't always play what he has written which makes the job a bit challenging. But I think it came out relatively acceptable."

KiNK with 707

"here I`m playing around with a Roland t.r. 707 drum machine and more specifically the Tap Write function on the sequencer (a feature, which I discovered just recently). The sound is recorded through FMR RNLA and Mackie mixing desk. As the original session was too long for a simple drum track, I chopped off three short segments of it."
