暗闇のロボット:「Nonstandard Synthesizer Ori364」(3DCG)
Published on May 7, 2014 Nonstandard Synthesizer Ori·13 videos
Music created with Propellerhead's Reason. Googlish translation follows. Original Japanese description below.
Googlish:
"Small piece of the original image and the original songs .
It is a work that uses the tone of the original waveform . It uses sound as a waveform that was low semitone about the frequency of the fifth integer harmonic series mainly . It is a slight difference in sound , but I wonder if - put out a darker sound by this? It is a place I . The effect is ... ! ?
This song " Ori364 " was completed by playing in its tone . With that said dark tone , I tried to arrange to dark . Because it is a slow melody in the dark , the video also tried to darker .
In the video , Mr. 3DCG robot will appear this time . There is almost no movement of the robot , but the position of the light source changes . In the dark , dark image of the scene , such as robots that emerge in light of the light bulb is lined .
The music created and arranged by Reason of software studio what it was composed , it was performed in the so-called " driving " . Reads samplers Reason, original waveform is using it as a tone . Outputs a WAV ( melody , bass, drums ) for each part , we re- mix in Cubase on a digital audio workstation it from Reason. After the mastering of the sound , I used the mastering software T-RackS.
The creation of the video , we are in a way to move the light source and the robot model for each scene in Blender of 3DCG creating software, and combined into one while give them effect in each scene in AviUtl of video editing software .
Song title : Ori364
Composition, arrangement , robot modeling , movie making : Nonstandard Synthesizer"

Knas Ekdahl Polygamist Discontinued
via Knas
"I have decided to discontinue the Ekdahl Polygamist until further notice. It breaks my fucking heart, but i see no alternative. Long story short, the Polygamist in its current form is much too complicated to build, takes too long, have too many things that can go wrong with it, is nowhere near generating enough cash - and all this, makes it infuriatingly frustrating to build. Nevertheless, there might be another Ekdahl Polygamist in the future if i can change production methods. Sorry to disappoint, but nobody's as disappointed as me :("
Click here for previous posts of the Polygamist including video. Another synth lost to complexity. The Jomox Sunsyn suffered a similar fate if I recall correctly.

"Due to the many pop-up annotations in this video, it is highly recommended to use a desktop or laptop browser, or some other Flash-compatible environment. If an iOS device must be used, an alternate browser such as Puffin can be used to view the annotations, at the expense of occasional lag.
Nhat-Viet (Toto) Phi of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, experiments with the Roland VP-550 Vocal & Ensemble Keyboard (choral synthesizer), creating a virtual multi-voice choir live and in real-time. Apologies for the unrehearsed and untrained voice.
Equipment used in this video includes a sustain pedal, a Yorkville 100KB amp and an Apex 370 dynamic headset microphone. Any original microphone which might have been bundled with the VP-550 is long gone."

Note the line lump power supply. I would have expected your standard three prong cable for the KingKORG.
