Note the two pull out tabs with the parameter listings. Yamaha FM rack synths like the TX81Z had them. It was a useful and great idea vs. having to whip out the manual.

"In 1987 Yamaha released their DX7II which included a number of enhancements over the original and, in 1988, they released the TX802 FM Tone Generator. TheTX802 features the synth engine of the Yamaha DX7 II but it is 8 part multitimbral (can play 8 different sounds at once) so much more complex sounds can be created and layered in such a way that it could be said that it is, roughly, equivalent in power to 8 DX7 II synths"

"Korg's Synthe-Bass (model SB-100) is a small 2-octave monophonic bass synth that had a very fat sound. It has one oscillator, an AD Envelope and a low-pass filter. No LFO, no arpeggiators or sequencers and certainly no memory. Small and portable, it came in a brief-case design. Unlike many portable synths of the time, it featured full size keys."

Update: "Fantastic and nearly perfect ARP 2600... perfectly playable, has NOT been upgraded or modded. Calibrated and adjusted by Ed Miller, LA - Area synth tech on 5/22/14. Newly tightened and cleaned keyboard connector, unit is completely STOCK and near perfect condition. UNPOTTED submodules means that this synth can be worked on easily, but at this point in time is PERFECT and needs NOTHING electronically, keyboard tracks perfectly. THIS IS A MONSTER SYNTH AND SOUNDS FANTASTIC.

It is a 2601 model, so one of the last made, therefore in much better condition than earlier models - All sliders and controls function smoothly, no corrosion on any component, including the interior electronics. Purchased from a professional recording studio, not a "touring" machine. Silk-screening is pristine, The machine looks brand-new. Less than usual wear on Tolex, for a synth nearing 30 years of age and a thoughtfully smoothed over corner of the keyboard case shows some wood. Keyboard could benefit from rebushing, but ALL KEYS TRACK PERFECTLY and the machine is guaranteed to be playable as a musical instrument upon arrival. One slightly discolored key, Mr. Miller tells me this is because of differences in plastic dyes used during manufacture.

Complex and infinitely adjustable machine, but a novice can get it running within ten minutes without any manual at all. Just work from left to right and follow the silkscreened flow chart. Much simpler (and also much more complex) than it appears.

6 patch cords included, no manuals, but these are easily downloadable or obtained from other ebayers. Also including two 1/8" to 1/4" patch cords for audio output to your amp, otherwise playable through the "reference" internal speakers."
