"the AX60 is among some of the last true analog polysynths of the mid-eighties. It was Akai's answer to the hugely successful Roland Juno series and Yamaha's new digital DX-series. The AX60 is a programmable six-voice synth with a nice LFO, lowpass (VCF) filter, envelope sections, and more."

"Here's something you don't see too often! This module was built for me on request by the great Gotharman, and is a clone of the Steiner Synthacon multimode 2-pole. Sounds really gritty with high resonance, especially when blending filter types!

I should mention that this particular module is a very tight fit into my Eurorack case, although you may not have this problem. The dimensions are a bit weird and it may require some maneuvering."

"Vermona Dual Oscillator Analogue Synthesizer circa 1980. Genuinely rare item - grab a piece of East German / Soviet electronic history.

Cold War Sonic Weapon. Looks like a control panel from a 70's sci-fi film. Built like a tank, wooden end cheeks.

Dark, menacing, fat bass sounds as well as bright, soaring leads.

All functions working, pots cleaned recently so nice and smooth. Cosmetic condition pretty good, just the usual wear and tear for something of this age.

2 minor issues - the on off button never switches off (just unplug it) and a couple of keys pitch drift sometimes upon release (never bothered me as both oscillators have 5 octaves, and second oscillator can be tuned up or down a full octave). Likely a fiddle around with the key mechanisms would sort this."

iTunes: MobMuPlat - Iglesia Intermedia

"MobMuPlat (short for Mobile Music Platform) lets you create your own custom audio software for iOS, via the open-source audio environment PureData.

MobMuPlat hosts a list of user-created documents, each of which defines a user interface and audio engine. MobMuPlat can do synthesis, sampling, networking via local wifi, OSC messaging, query and set hardware characteristics, display images/graphics, and much more.
see www.mobmuplat.com for more info.

Creating your own work consists of two parts, both done on your laptop/desktop.
First, create a graphical user interface (GUI) with the MobMuPlat Editor.
Second, create the audio engine using the graphical programming language Pure Data (PD).
With both of these applications open, and data sent between the two, you can simulate the app behavior on your laptop/desktop. Once development is complete, just drag the two saved files into the "Documents" folder of iTunes, and they are uploaded to your device and can be opened in the MobMuPlat app...

Pittsburgh Modular Chain Reactor Module Demo

Published on Aug 3, 2014 Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers

"The Chain Reactor combines two of our classic VILFO modules with two additional free running LFOs to create an endless supply of chaotic fluctuations. VILFO1 and VILFO2 feature our unique voltage influence control. Voltage influence works differently than standard voltage control, it allows the incoming CV to mingle with the LFO waveforms in interesting ways, creating unique modulations and patterns. The output of each VILFO is a voltage controlled variable waveform that shifts from a triangle to square wave."

DigiTech iStomp Quick Demo with Synthesizer and Drum Machine

Published on Aug 3, 2014 zibbybone

"I recently picked up a 3 pack of iStomp pedals for my synths. These pedals are a great idea to keep down unnecessary inventory by being able to download a different effect into a pedal in about 30 seconds.

In this video I start off running a Roland Juno 106 (chorus turned off) through 2 pedals: one with "Stone Phase" (a Small Stone Phaser emulator) and the other with "Double Cross Delay" which is a ping-pong type delay that allows you to control the delay ratio of left and right sides.

Next, I load "Vintage Tape Delay" in place of "Double Cross" and continue to demo on the Juno

Last, I hook up a Korg MonoTribe up to the pedals and download "Dirty Robot" in place of the "Stone Phase". The Dirty Robot is a filter effect similar to the MF-101 Moogerfooger.

I'll try to demo more of these effects soon, so stay tuned!"
