"Sound wise, you can think of it as a hacked and modded TB303 with a built in analog overdrive circuit. Square or sawtooth selectable waveform, single oscillator, 303 style filter with resonance, envelope, and accent. Can sound salty or sweet depending on your mood. Flick on the overdrive and pair it up with a fuzz pedal and this thing can really rip. Acid! Also comes with some built in DSP effects, but when those are bypassed you have a fully analog signal. Additionally, there is a filter input jack, so you can use the filter to process external signals. Spruce up those old digital synths!

Then there is the sequencer. Much more than just a basic step sequencer, you can see it has a crazy circular design which looks very striking. It's also very intuitive and well featured. Fully selectable pattern length, from one step to 16, forwards or backwards playback, cut/copy/paste/accent/glide. Storage up to 256 patterns, 16 songs. Full Midi IO In/Out/Thru/DinSync, as well as CV signal and gate for using the sequencer to control vintage and modular analog gear.

One more word about the sequencer, it features Future Retro's "Remix" feature. Any time you want to switch up a pattern, you can activate it and it will add some intelligent randomization to your existing sequence. You can pick between a combination of remix algorithms using the two remix knobs. Instant inspiration!"

"Near mint 9.5/10 Korg 770 monophonic analog 2 VCO synthesizer with added 0-5 V in controlling VCO, Gate and Filter!

This is the predecessor to the MS line and was made in 1975; it has a 12 dB/octave filter and two oscillators. It excels at drones and modulations as it has auto cycle on the envelopes and can be triggered by the LFO. Similar sounds to a MS20 are common, but much easier to come by. This would make a great live synth, I gig with a Roland SH3 and this is almost as much fun by itself.

Note that the "traveler" filter slide pots are designed by Korg to overlap, they are not filed down as earlier 700 models needed for band pass sounds.

Cosmetically 9.5 out of 10! Take a look at these beautiful end cheeks and cute green power light! Has Korg factory five pin interface in back in addition to the added 1/8" CV Gate and Filter jacks which work 0-5 volts, NOT the Korg standard but ARP/Blacet et al. I have triggered this from a Blacet system and it works fine. The Korg interface ALSO works... if you have another 70's Korg and a five pin cable!

US 110 voltage and cord."

Korg MS-20 basic hand clap

Published on Nov 11, 2014 Magnus Gladén

"Hand claps are very easy to do with a Korg MS-20 thanks to its lovely resonant high pass filter.
Here is an example of a basic hand clap using white noise from VCO-1 waveform but also from the patch bay into the ESP. From the ESP the noise is patched into external signal input to distort the sound a bit.
Noise is also taken out from the ESP into the S&H input. The S&H is triggered by a narrow rectangle wave and sent to the low pass filter to create the clapping sound.
Spend some more time tweaking and you can make a pretty convincing analog hand clap sound."

"Movie directed by Filip Martin ( www.fijnebeeldwaren.be ), original music composed by Philippe Ryckman(www.obscurewavemusic.be ), commissioned by In Flanders Fields Museum, Ypres, Belgium, for the exhibition " The Last Witness ".

The film shows present day footage of the World War I war graves around the City of Ypres, blended with footage from the actual years of war, showing some of the destruction inflicted upon the region."

This one in via Philip Ryckman, Obscure Wave Music:

"Following the commemorating of World War One here in Belgium, here's a movie made by my friend director Filip Martin and for which I wrote the music using mainly Emu, Roland and Ensoniq samplers. The film was commissioned a few years ago by the In Flanders Fields Museum (www.inflandersfields.be) for an exhibition entitled 'The Last Witness'. It shows present day footage of the World War I war graves around the City of Ypres, blended with footage from the actual years of war, showing some of the destruction inflicted upon the region. Film and music aim to be an intimate testimonial and deference."

Posting this one for Veterans Day.
