Kilpatrick Audio Phenol - More Experiments
Published on Dec 1, 2014 KilpatrickAudio
"Here is a short clip of my friend Keith trying out Phenol. The clock divider is proving to be extremely useful for people wanting to create patterns that sound like they came from a sequencer."

Kilpatrick Audio Phenol - Multitrack Synth Tune
Published on Dec 1, 2014 KilpatrickAudio
"I ventured over to my friend Keith's studio and we messed around with this digital multitrack deck and some different sounds with Phenol. The drum machine is a Kawai R-100, and all other sounds are produced by Phenol, except the flute which uses Phenol for real-time amplitude modulation processing through the external input."
Moog Sound Lab | Lushlife | Meridian Sound (Part Two)
Published on Dec 1, 2014 Moog Music Inc
"Philly emcee and producer Raj Halder, better known as Lushlife, entered the Moog Sound Lab to re-imagine the song 'Meridian Sound (Part Two)' from the album Cassette City.
To create an intimate atmosphere, Raj performed with no backing track, using only the Animoog synthesizer application (controlled by a Minimoog Voyager) and a Moog MF-104M Analog Delay to create a sonic wash under his vocals.

Sport Modulator synced modulations patch eurorack
Published on Dec 1, 2014 bigcitymusic
"Toppobrillo Sport Modulator ch. 1 is set to LAG, cycle and ch. 2 is set to S/H, cycle. The end of ch. 1 is feeding ch. 2 S/H. The Sport Modulator is clocking the Plan B MINI Milton which is going into Sport Modulator ch. 2 in. This configuration enables synchronized, stepped and constant changing modulations of the RES-4, MMF-6 and Pittsburgh LPG (filter input signal from Cwejman VCO-6 FM'ed).
Drums are from the Dave Smith Instruments Tempest.
The synth track was run through the Tiptop Z-DSP Halls of Valhalla for stereo reverb post patching.

Sempiternal Soundpack (Week 11)

MIDI Fighters on eBay
"For this week's soundpack I may have went a little overboard, but I'm glad I did. This pack is inspired by a band from the UK called Bring Me the Horizon and features 64 samples (4 banks) of ambient guitars, strings, glitch and heavy drums with a few vocals and synth stabs thrown in. Anyone can slice up a song and do a finger drumming cover or remix on a midi controller, and while that takes skill, I decided to go a different route a build a pack to create your own song using a few elements/stems from BMTH and other various samples. With this you are not set in the limitations of a song/band/genre, nor are you playing a remix kit. This is simply a soundpack set in the tone of an awesome sound. Enjoy! -Kyle

monome earthsea eurorack module

"grid-enabled shape memory pattern instrument.
the third monome module. see http://monome.org/modular"
"grid-enabled shape memory pattern instrument
december 2014
retail price: $320
requirements: monome grid controller (see note below *)
format: eurorack
width: 6hp
depth: 40mm (“skiff friendly”)
power: 12v: 18ma, -12v: 17ma, 5v: 42ma (grid unconnected), up to 600ma (grid connected, see note below **)
earthsea is a platform for playing, looping, and manipulating control-voltage gestures, which may take the form of melodies and timbral transformations.
a monome grid is plugged into the front panel of the module, serving as a complete interface. looped patterns continue to run when the grid is disconnected, facilitating hot-swap connection to other monome-enabled modules during performance.
built upon a map of tones, the grid becomes a playing surface for melodies. the edge output provides various gating modes including a fixed interval and drone mode.
multi-press gestures invoke shape-memories. three channels of cv memory are set by turning panel knobs per shape. instantly recall cv sets with different shapes, or glide between them with independent slew per channel and shape.
patterns of notes and shapes can be recorded into a bank of sixteen slots. gate, retrigger or loop playback while performing additonal notes or shapes atop. recall previous patterns from the bank, or perform the bank directly. patterns can also be performed across the keymap with arpeggiate mode, shifting the root note and retriggering the pattern.
shape-memories and all recorded patterns are storable to internal flash memory for instant recall on power-up. eight full presets can be stored and dynamically loaded.
additional magic shapes for pattern modulations make this instrument profoundly versatile."
