Toppobrillo Multifilter 2 Eurorack Filter Demo

video upload by Travis Kennedy

"The Multifilter 2 is a redesign of Toppobrillo's state variable filter from the previous decade. This filter design provides a 12db/oct LP and HP plus a 6db/oct BP and Notch filter. New to this version is a dual input with manual crossfading, dedicated Ping input, and a variable mode output with CV control and switchable filter frequency tracking. There is also a jumper on the back panel for soft clipping on the input circuit (which I use throughout this video).

Eurorack jam with Loquelic Iteritas, Virt Iter Legio, Mimetic Digitalis, Librae Legio

video upload by Noise Engineering

"To those who purchased the limited edition Pink Loquelic Iteritas, thank you. The module sold out swiftly, and net proceeds from the sales went to parrot conservation with Macaw Recovery Network.

This jam features many Eurorack modules, but we thought the standouts were the Pink Loquelic Iteritas oscillator, Virt Iter Legio stereo oscillator, Mimetic Digitalis CV sequencer, and the Librae Legio dynamics processor.

Modules in this case:
Noise Engineering Horoligic Solum
Noise Engineering Zularic Repetitor
Noise Engineering Basimilus Iteritas Alter
Noise Engineering Virt Iter Legio
Noise Engineering Imitor Versio
Noise Engineering Sinc Bucina

Non VCO VCOs

Published on Jan 14, 2018 Randy Piscione

"Using a pair of function generators as VCOs, there are no standard VCOs in this video. Everything is driven from a Eurokorn sequencer, bass is one side of a Random*Source Smooth/Stepped Generator, 'percussion' is the other side. There are two noodles, from two sides of a Buchla/Toppobrillo Dual Function Generator.

A few filters are called in to add some randomness and the only other modules are utilities, such as VCAs, LFOs, EGs and mixers."

"Brief demo to show both Function Generators operating"

via this auction

"Excellent, fully functional, Buchla designed Dual Function Generator in Eurorack format w Grayscale Panel. Includes excellent Manual Trigger Modification allowing self triggering. These Dual Function Generator PCBs were created by Toppobrillo using the original Buchla 281 schematic. It's exactly 1/2 of a Buchla 281. This is basically the same circuit used in the Make Noise Maths, and the implementation is pretty close, although the Grayscale Panel footprint is considerably smaller, at 16HP (versus 20HP for Maths). Photo is of actual module, and comes with original blue Buchla 200 knobs."

Vermona PerFourMer Analog Chords

Published on Nov 24, 2015 SGE

"The PerFourMer excels at chords. Using the 4 CV inputs I made chords using a Toppobrillo Quantimator which was driven by a Korg SQ-1. The 4 triangle waves of the PerFourMer are slightly panned to sound nice and wide, then effected by a Roland RE-20 reverb and delay. The Microbrute plays a sequence which is ping-pong delayed by a Disting module (in delay mode) and Doepfer panning module. Drums are custom samples from an Electribe ESX-1 (offscreen)."

Toppobrillo Dual 281 (Grayscale panel w/mods)

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
Published on Nov 22, 2014 ken mosley

"Just finished building a few Toppobrillo dual 281s with some grayscale panels. The clip shows various functions as well as demoing the addition of a manual trigger envelopes and push starting the LFO (a known issue with the build). The addition of an illuminated pushbutton switch add to the overall module's 'playability'."

via this auction

"Dual 281 Function Generator w/LED trigger switch mod (Eurorack)

The Dual 281 is an ASR/AR/LFO generator with voltage controlled inputs for Attack and Decay. This essentially half of the original Buchla 281 but designed for Eurorack Format modular synths. Make Noise's Maths was designed to mimic the 281 and Serge's Dual Universal Slope Generator. Several of these were built for a non-paying customer and now just trying to recoup costs on this last one. These were built with grayscale panels using Toppobrillo PCBs and offered to the DIY community. Wima caps used throughout with the exception of the 1.8nF film caps (Kemet). NKK switches long life switches, long life and low ESR caps for power decoupling. Blue LED switches allow for playing the module in real time...The FG can be triggered by finger. Check the vids. These were only mounted in a lab case and burned in for extensive testing."

ALM / Busy Circuits Dinky's Taiko eurorack jam

Published on Apr 7, 2015 halfofmeis333

"First proper jam for me with the ALM / Busy Circuits Dinky's Taiko module.
Here's what's going on in the patch:
Pamela's Workout is the master clock, triggering my euro Klee on drum-duty with the Hexinverter Mutant Bassdrum, Clap and Hihats.
The Music Thing / Thonk Turing Machine with Bytes, Pulses and Voltages expanders is doing the main sequencing of Dinky's Taiko via... a Toppobrillo Quantimator + RYO VC Sequencer combo to scale up and down the Wave control on the Taiko. Pulses is sending triggers to the Choke input and Accent input via MATHS to widen the gate trigger.
I've left the settings on Dinky's Taiko pretty minimal so the above could do the main business. though there is some filtering via an STG Sea Devils Filter - the frequency inputs controlled by both a Wogglebug and an ALM Pip Slope envelope.
Finally, Dinky's Taiko is going through an Echophon for a little bit of spaceyness."

Kick Drum: EMW Digi-Drum + Expert Sleepers Disting (Waveshaping mode)
Snare: Mutable Instruments Braids (SNAR mode).
Hihat: VBrazil MultiLFO (Noise Output) + MakeNoise Maths + Intellijel uVCA
Bass patch: Tiptop Audio Z3000 mk2 + EMW Phaser 4 + EMW VCF Diode + Toppobrillo Multifilter (just to overdrive the signal a bit) + MakeNoise Moddemix '14 (as a VCA).
Synth SFX patch: VBrazil Aether Oscillator + Intellijel uVCA + Synthrotek EKO.

All the layers were sequenced using a 4ms SCM and an Intellijel Metropolis.

Didn't properly tune the oscillator because life's too short and I was just too lazy."
