At first I thought the system was just for show, but you can see the waveform kick in on the O'Tool. Not sure if the system is producing all the audio or if the track is just running through it. I'll post back if I find out.

Experimenting with the O'Tool Plus Oscilloscope Module
Published on Sep 21, 2017 The Mad Music Machine
"Caitlin has been learning about sound waves at school so we added an oscilloscope module to help her understand sound design.
Here we compare the triangle and sawtooth waves on the Mother-32 with the sine wave on the System-1m.
We then use the cutoff on the Mother-32 to approximate a sine wave."

VCOADSR Performance // Modular Meets Leeds 2017
Published on Sep 3, 2017 DivKidVideo
"Here's the performance video with VCOADSR from Modular Meets Leeds 2017. He gave us a killer dark and ambient techno set with pounding drums, deep dark textures, samples and an ever evolving arrangement through various riffs and themes. The rig rundown videos give us a chance to speak to the artists, check out their approach and gear talking about their performance and how they did it. VCOADSR performing a blinding modular techno set, that certainly in the room sounded like multi-tracked, produced, compressed and EQ'd electronic production. To get that level of sound design and production out of a small live set up was amazing.
VCOADSR was using Orthogonal Devices ER-101, ER-102 and ER-301, alongside a FEEDBACK pre amp, TipTop Audio One, custom 1U tiles, ALM Busy Circuits Pamela's New Workout, Noise Engineering's Loqulic Iteritas Percido, Doepfer A-124 Wasp Filter, TipTop Audio drum modules, Erica Synths PICO DSP, TipTop Audio Z-DSP, O'Tool, Intellijel Triatt, and the Model One Play Differently mixer.
Check out the latest release from VCOADSR on his band camp page here - https://vcoadsr.bandcamp.com"

Jones O'Tool Plus
The Jones O'Tool Plus, aka O'Tool +, apparently was released back in June according to the Jones website. I'm not sure how many were initially released, but I'm seeing announcements from various dealers that they are now in stock. If you are interested in picking one up, see the dealers on the right of the site for availability and pricing. Check out the cool screens on the O'Tool + below.
"The new and improved Jones O'Tool Plus oscilloscope and audio tools eurorack module from Dave Jones Design was in development for almost two years. It was finally released in June 2016.
A greatly improved version of the original O'Tool module, with temperature stable readings, extreme accuracy, added modes, upgradability, and more.
Single channel oscilloscope
Dual channel oscilloscope
3D oscilloscope
X/Y display
Level meter
VU meter
Peak meter
Voltmeter (with p-p and average DC)
Frequency meter
Tuner (guitar tuner style)
Linear spectrum analyzer
Log spectrum analyzer
Spectrogram
BPM meter
Metromome
It includes user configurable settings and can remember settings at power up for three users. That means you can have different settings for home, studio, and performances, or any three different sets of settings.
It is temperature stable and extremely accurate. It can monitor two signals, with inputs looped through to other modules. The scope modes include an external trigger option.
It is firmware upgradable. It has a jumper for internal or external 5 volt source. It has an expansion connector for possible future add-on modules."

Driving the Spaceship - Drones and LFOs
Published on May 26, 2014 kv3x·17 videos
Build-up starts at :41.
"So I snuck the spaceship out of the garage the other night. Once I got it started, wow, what a ride! Cruising around, carrying on, warp speed, zipping past planets, shooting space rocks, running through the gears, making noise.
Well, it's all fun and games until something goes wrong. There you are, stalled out, broken down, in some dark corner of a far away galaxy. Come on, start, come ooonn...! Oh, yeah, you can be sure I will hear about this one. I'll probably be grounded for-ev-eer!
Synthrotek Chaos Nand (DIY), CV modulated by a Doepfer A-143-4 (and the triangle Sum out into the Sag of the Nand, too), mixed with output from a Pittsburgh Modular VILFO. The square wave Sum out was run to the 1V/Oct input of Oscillator 1 of the Make Noise DPO. The Osc 1 triangle output was sent to the same Analogue Solutions MX-61.
The positive out of the MX-61 was fed into the Erica Polivoks filter (another DIY) modulated by the A-145 sine wave into CV2. The 145 also pinged the A-101-2 LPG. Further, the LFO sine out of the Intellijel Rubicon was input into CV1 of the Common input on the 143.
The final Polivoks low pass output was through the O'Tool, and into the Synthrotek EKO (another easy DIY). The Rate of the EKO was controlled by the LFO sine output of the Intellijel Dixie II.
And some knob wiggling.
Recorded in one take with a Roland R-26.
In other, more simple words, it's just a bunch of nonsense and noise."

Jones O'Tool on eBay
"It's an oscilloscope, but it's also a lot of other things. The Jones O'Tool is a single and dual trace oscilloscope, a levels meter, a VU meter, a Peak meter, a spectrum analyzer, an X-Y graph display, a frequency meter, a tuner, and a voltmeter."
Quick note: moving forward I'll be using the Jones label only rather than both the Dave Jones and Jones label. The Dave Jones label came first but the actual brand is Jones so I'll go with that: http://www.jonesvideo.com.
