"A very rare synth, even rarer in this condition. Its basically two 700s's in one box and is one of the finest synths ever to come out of the Korg stable in that era."

"A popular duophonic/monophonic classic from Korg. It's got 2 analog oscillators that can be used for one fat monophonic sound or 2 VCO's per voice for a fat duophonic sound. Flexible design with 2 voltage controlled filters and even a ring modulator. The Maxi-Korg is a great source of early Korg sound that rivals competitors like the OSCar and Roland SH-synths. No MIDI, no memory, but good bass and screechin' leads! It has no CV input either, though it can be modified to accept externnal control from the less standard Hz/V protocol (also used by Yamaha).
Most people usually understand it best as two separate MiniKorgs inside one keyboard with all the controls to both. Most people will stack both voices as the triggering can be tricky as duophonic. It has the very effective ability to delay one voice before it triggers when played mono."

"The Realistic Concertmate MG-1 was produced by Moog and sold at Radioshack stores in the late 70s-early 80s. Its functionality is very similar to that of the Moog Rogue, though the MG-1 includes a few additional features, namely full polyphony. Here's a great demo video covering all MG-1 tones and functions: http://youtu.be/W3kFZ1fUeJA
I purchased this Moog Realistic MG-1 from the original owner a few years back. It had been well cared for and apparently rarely used, though I made a few necessary upgrades to bring it into the 21st century. Here are the details:
-I removed all of the dreaded foam from the inside of the front panel and cleaned all internal components.
-Local synth specialists at SwitchedOn cleaned and de-noised all of the sliders and pots, and swapped out the antiquated RCA inputs/outputs for 1/4" ins/outs.
-Backplate has been modded with Moog branding. Serial number and manufacturing info are left intact.
This machine performs like new, is in excellent condition and has been well maintained."

blinky gibberings from charlie roberts on Vimeo.
"A short performance using Gibber's new pattern library, along with a generous helping of blinking text to indicate phase and sequence triggering. It borrows and extends agent concepts found in Thor Magnussons's ixi lang, revealing changes to musical patterns over time within the code of the performance."
http://charlie-roberts.com/gibber/
"Gibber is a creative coding environment that runs in the browser; the audio component is also a standalone JavaScript library. Gibber was designed to present high-level abstractions enabling users to accomplish complex tasks simply, all while staying within the confines of syntactically valid JavaScript.
Unlike many JavaScript audio libraries, Gibber comes with some music theory built-in, so that users can easily create beats and melodies. On the visual side, Gibber provides 2D, 3D and shader programming capability. Gibber maintains notational conventions across audio / visual and interactive modalities. For example, regardless of the type object, accessing its _ (underscore) property will remove it from the relevant graph. Objects also use the same notation for sequencing property values and method calls, and for establishing continuous mappings.
Gibber is primarily maintained by Charlie Roberts, with gracious funding from the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation. Further support is provided by the AlloSphere Research Group and the Media Arts and Technology Program at UCSB."
Introduction to Gibber from charlie roberts on Vimeo.
"A four-minute overview of Gibber and its capabilities, including:
* Audio synthesis and sequencing
* 2d drawing API with shader post-processing
* 3d scene API
* Easy mappings between audio / visual / interaction modalities
* Built-in chat and collaborative code editing using a centralized server
