"Here's another piece from my studio collection that I'm selling off. This Polysix was cleaned and calibrated by a professional technician a couple years ago. Although this has been with me for some time, I can't say that I've used it much. I did play this Polysix for about a half hour prior to listing it going through all the functions. It plays very well, sounds nice and vintage, and everything seems to function like it should. All the keys trigger nicely and it's capable of producing classic Korg sounds. The original battery has of coarse been removed and replaced with a custom mounted long life battery. The 32 patch memory works and it was fun playing all the patches. I noticed was that the output jack is a little wobbly, however I still had no problems using it. The only other thing I think is worth mentioning is that with the volume turned way up, through the headphone jack I could start to hear a hum coming in, which doesn't seem to be a problem from the main output on high volume or with mid volume levels on the headphones. Cosmetically you can see from the pictures that it's in average condition with some scratches on the keys (mostly black keys), wear on the end cheeks, wear marks and blemishes to the paint, etc. I remember the panel hinge(?) being loose as well; not when it's closed though..."

"Created in the wake of the Emulator sampler-synths, E-mu unleashed the Drumulator sample-based drum-machines. The Drumulator was E-mu's attempt at creating a rhythm machine like the Linn LM-1 that was better and cheaper. What they made wound up becoming a huge hit for E-mu. The Drumulator had eight drum sounds on a ROM microchip which were gritty, lo-fi 12-bit samples of basic drum sounds...but they were some classic sounds!"

SH-101 - Dominion 1 - Sub37 Snappy Envelopes

"The purpose of this recording was to compare the envelope snappiness of Roland SH-101, MFB Dominion 1 and Moog Sub 37. In addition, I tweaked the osc waveforms, noise and filters too. SH-101 comes first, then the Dominion 1, and last the Sub 37. No fx was used in most of the recording, only small amount of limiting."

0:00: SH-101
2:15: This is 1 oct lower now.
4:04: Dominion 1
7:25: Going through filter types
9:05: Crackling came from overloading converter while quickly changing filter types.
9:56: Sub 37
10:02: I probably played the Sub 37 1 oct lower than the others while testing the closed envelopes.
13:07: filters: 24 dB, 18 dB, 12 dB, 6 dB
