Groovesizer Theremon: Digital Theremin & MIDI Controller

Published on Jun 30, 2019 MoShang

via Groovesizer

"Theremon is a digital theremin and MIDI controller that you can either build from a kit, or order fully assembled. Like a traditional theremin, Theremon is played without physical contact with one hand controlling pitch, and the other volume. In the place of the two antennas found on a traditional theremin, Theremon features two time of flight sensors that accurately measure the distance of the player’s hands from the instrument."

Randomized polyrhythmic beats with Stochastic Groovesizer

Published on Sep 21, 2017 rudeog

"Customized firmware on the Groovesizer that allows multiple simultaneous time signatures and randomized beats to play on any midi equipped drum machine (in this case the Korg EMX). This firmware was developed along the same lines as a VST plugin I developed called Stochas which is for currently available via audiovitamins.com"

Groovesizer custom firmware with randomization

Published on Sep 4, 2017 rudeog

"Some firmware I wrote for the Groovesizer multi board. It's a midi sequencer that allows probability based programming. Can play notes based on probability, switch patterns based on probability. Six separate midi tracks play simultaneously and each can be a different length (polyrhythms). Also allows each to have a different clock divider/multiplier for double time/half time etc, or other time signatures per track. Can sync to midi clock or output clock sync. If you like this, google "Stochas VST" for a plugin I wrote that operates on a similar principle but does so much more."

Groovesizer MB Multiboard Synthesizer

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"The Groovesizer MB (for multiboard) is a DIY 8-bit audio platform. It’s a musical chameleon that can take on a number of different roles from sequencer to synth, drum machine, or midi controller. Exactly what the Groovesizer MB is at a given moment depends on the firmware it’s running. Existing firmware can be freely hacked, or new firmware developed using the beginner friendly Arduino IDE. Firmware is loaded to the board directly from the Arduino IDE, either via an AVR ISP programmer, or by flashing the Atmega chip on an Arduino board and swapping it out."
