Qu-Bit Electronix EON Teaser Video
Published on Sep 8, 2015 Qu-Bit Electronix

"EON is an envelope, oscillator, and noise source in 2 HP.
It has three modes that are quickly and easily set via a 3 position switch.
Although its functionality is multifaceted, the EON can be a full fledged envelope with linear and exponetional shapes, a square wave oscillator that tracks 1 volt per octave, or a digital noise source with downsample control.
In addition to the three main functions, the EON also has a triangle wave LFO, random gates, and cycling envelopes.
Packing more features per HP than any other module before, the EON is the best way to fill any empty spot in your case.
- Envelope with linear and exponential shapes
- Square wave oscillator that tracks 1 volt per octave
-Oscillator pitch tracking can be 1 volt per octave or quantized to semitones.
- Digital noise with downsample control
- Random gates
- 2 HP"
We got our first peek at EON back at Winter NAMM.

New Pic of the Vintage Eight Voice Analog Moog SL-8
This one spotted on reddit by Soviet Space Child.
Via the reddit thread: "This is an actual picture taken last week, not just gear porn."
Followed by: "It's the prototype for the Moog SL8 (1983). The story goes, Moog brought this to NAMM 83 as an 8 voice polyphonic synth, a follow up to the Memory Moog (which btw has the fattest Osc's I might have ever heard). They brought the cards for the SL8 to NAMM in a 'cardboard box' and this was placed below the SL8 for performance during NAMM. After NAMM the cardboard box containing the cards was lost or misplaced and all the remains is the body. The PolyMoog can be a nightmare, but this is due to the body warping. The plastic container was reinforced on certain later revs (If memory serves correct), but early models suffer a twisting frame and thus damage to the cards. We have a PolyMoog in the collection. I could post a pic on a later date of it. I use the Memory Moog as a go to, the PolyMoog doesn't get as much use as it should."
"Yes. I am the Technical Director of the Audities Foundation. The purpose of the collection is to make sound and art with sonic artifacts This is one of the rarest synths around, but unfortunately lost to time."
You'll find some previous posts featuring the SL-8 here. See this post for some pics and a video from Audities, and this post for specs.

"I've just kept finding more and more interesting synthesizers, and here's my first Oberheim in over 20 years (I used to have the Matrix 1000) - enter the Matrix 6R. I always kind of missed the Oberheim sound and as you hopefully will agree, it sounds wonderful."

Vintage Moog Sonic 6 Synthesizer SN 2072

Some history on this individual synth via the listing: "Moog Sonic 6 synthesizer, serial # S2072, assembled and inspected on January 9, 1975. Includes original power cord. Can be played monophonically or duophonically. This one was marketed as an educational synth, but it makes an unusually good performance synth because you can turn off the signal going out and turn on the speaker any time you want to make a new sound without it going out to the main system, and it folds up into a suitcase. It includes those classic Moog oscillators and the silky smooth Moog ladder filter for unbeatable sound. Plus extras like a ring modulator and two mixable LFOs. And it is great for processing external signals. I put a combo organ through it and got it to sound just like The Who doing "Won't Get Fooled Again".
There is some moderate wear, the edges are not quite as straight as when it was new, and some minor scuffs. But overall it's in very good shape cosmetically. When I got it, it had mushy action and uneven keys. So I replaced all the key bushings. I verified all the keys play properly and don't stick. While I had it open I went through the entire adjustment procedure outlined in the service manual, and it plays in tune now. The service manual and owner's manual can be downloaded free online, and I highly recommend keeping copies of both. Since it is 40 years old I cannot make any guarantees on adjustments or functionality in the future, and I am selling it as-is. But if you should have any problems with it right away, please contact me first.
On a technical note for if you are planning on using this long-term. The next time it is opened up I recommend replacing all the trimmer pots with 10-turn trimmers for increased accuracy and stability of the adjustments. They will also make it A LOT easier to adjust."
