"Listing is for a Roland CR-68 CompuRhythm analog drum machine with MIDI input! MIDI input triggers drum sounds but does not synchronize the internal patterns to MIDI clock as it is meant to serve as an analog drum sound source."

"The Hohner String Performer is a fully electronical string machine made in Germany. It has strings in 3 footages (CELLO, VIOLA, VIOLIN), which are mixable via volume faders. Also CLAVICHORD and PIANO presets, all free mixable. Each half of the keyboard has these features. A bass preset can be added to the left half of the keyboard.
On the right, there is a simple monophonic preset synthesizer with 4 presets: BRASS, STRING, CLARINET and PLANET. The String Performer is fully polyphonic and has a decent analog string tone.
This german early eighties string keyboard was one of the last variations on building a string ensemble keyboard with or without some extras added.
This one features:
PIANO
CLAVINET
CELLO
VIOLA
VIOLIN
as full polyphonic sound sources. Additionally a bass sound can be activated for the lower two octaves. The keyboard is split in two plus three octaves. And each half can get a unique combinations of the above named sounds.
At the right hand of the keyboard you can switch on one of the five available monophonic synth sound presets:
BASS
STRING
CLARINET
PLANET
OCTAVE (transposes all the sounds named before one octave down) The volume of the mono synth section is usually way higher then the rest of the keyboard.
In the back there are the following sockets (left to right):
GENERAL out (= main out)
BASS out
STRINGS out
PIANO/CLAVINET/ SOLO (= mono synth) out
SUSTAIN PEDAL in
FOOTSWELL pedal in
MAINS in (the 110V versions appear to have an external power supply)"

This keyboard works perfectly. It's condition is very near mint. All keys and knobs are tight and beautiful. The ribbon controller is in perfect shape, which is usually the first part to age/be damaged. It has had one slight modification, which you can see in the photos - the fine tuning knob has been moved from the back of the chassis to the front, directly to the right of the keyboard. It holds it's pitch excellently, but it's nice to be able to tune to someone else without thinking about it too much. This is a beautiful piece."

"The original juno 6 is known to many as the best of the Juno series. There's something different about the oscillators and filter i believe. We, at one point, compared it to a Juno 60 and a Juno 106. The original 6 had a slightly bigger and beefier sound than that of the 60 (although the 60 offered patch recall). The 106 was the smoothest but lacked the "attitude" of the 6. For these reasons we have kept and used this Juno 6 for years and used it on many recordings. It has always deliver the BEST of the juno sound."
Anyone confirm the difference between the 6 and 60? The 106 is definitely different, but the 6 and 60 are supposed to be sonically identical.
