"As far i can see these were made in the Same factory in Japan as the Roland SH-2000 and an early example of a clone (to all intensive purposes looks the same and sounds the same apparently) but a few people also say this is the same as the MX 2000 which it isn't, it has a different control panel and a black face colour, it also has its own personality. Anyway, worth doing some research as i've never seen another one of these and cant find any decent information about it online, I gather its 1973 and one of the earliest synths made and Multivox were an American company in the 70s who made a few weird synths.
It sounds amazing, the filter is super rich and all the presets and faders work, including the assignable aftertouch (first aftertouch in synth?) and has a few tweaks on it, however the 2nd Oscillator is very quiet so it could definitely do with a service!!"
"Siel Mono - an Italian Monosynth from the early 80's. Siel were in partnership with ARP and some of the Siel range were also badged as ARP such as the Quartet. I have had a couple of these Monos and this is by far the best example I have ever seen - see pictures for condition. There is no rust - which is common on these - and all button caps are present. All sliders, switches and lights work. This one has a rare volume pedal with it that fits the din style socket on the back. This one also still has the back legs to tilt it up - these are often missing on these synths. It can do a good impression of a Moog, fantastic basslines, lovely Pink Floyd horn synths and nasty leads. Still has original Owner's Manual and Schematics which show it has been cared for."
via the seller: "Original 70's ARP model 1613 analog sequencer, S/N 16130446. I just recently had this serviced to replace all of the tuning and control sliders with brand new ones. All LEDs and switches are good and working fine. Functionality has been verified and is 100%. Cosmetically, there are a couple of minor scratches. Two of the blue slider caps are missing. Comes with original owner's manual. I am the original owner."
"In this video, Meta Function demonstrate filter modulation patching on an ARP 2600.
The ARP 2600 is famous for providing the sound of R2D2 in the original Star Wars film, its heavy use on Stevie Wonder's early material and providing the main riff on Underworld's 'Rez". This is a V4.0 2600 released in 1974 and features ARP's then new G-clef logo alongside the sort after Model 4012 filter (which was a copy of Moog's patented ladder-filter design that eventually led to a legal dispute forcing ARP to design a new filter).
In this video a mix of saw and square waveshapes from oscillator one are run through the lowpass ladder filter. With oscillator 2 and 3 running as LFOs, various filter modulations are patched including Env 2, S&H, the Voltage Processor and the Electronic Switch. Due to the switching and voltage processes, interesting filter modulation can be heard as LFO 1 sine switches or inverts LFO 2 square.
Sequenced via a Sequentix Cirklon.
Audio recorded via Calrec S2 console and SSL convertors. All dry, no FX, EQ or compression. The only post production performed was normalization.
Watch at 1080p with good quality audio monitoring for the best experience.
Meta Function developed the Max For Live synthesizer, the Wave Junction in partnership with Sonicstate.com. A four voice paraphonic synth with 2 multi-mode osc, three multi-mode filters, 5 LFOs, 5 Envs and a 12 slot modulation matrix.
You can buy it from Sonicstate right here for £19.95:

"This video covers the Sound Object and Microsound scales of the Morphagene. On this scale the Morphagene's fludity of motion through time is particularly evident, as it lets us explore very small pieces of sound in great detail."
