OP-1 Daydreams

Stochastic Design

"A little chill jam recorded on four tracks, and accompanied with some daydream visuals. Do you also daydream when you make music?

The entire track was made with the OP-1 and reflects some of the possibilities. Only a bit of EQ was added in post production. It is an amazing instrument to bring when you travel or just to make music outside.

Some images and clips were generated using our custom neural image processing software (experimental)

Hope you enjoy it, and stay tuned for more videos during the fall!"

Cirklon Note Capture (Feature Request)

Danny Piccione
Published on Aug 11, 2017

"This was a Max for Live patch I hacked together to intercept MIDI data between the Cirklon & Monologue in order to show how musical real time note feedback would be when used in Note Dub Record mode.

The M4L patch listens to the currently held keyboard note im playing, and swaps note values with the note Cirklon is sending out. Simultaneously Note Dub Record mode is active, so once the sequence loops back to the start (4 bars in this case), you can hear the newly recorded notes being played back.

You can hear how I start with every note in the sequence as D# and develop from there. Very fun to come up with something basic and then start adding different notes in various spots throughout the sequence. Especially fun to play alongside some sequenced modulation (in this case envelope mod & filter cutoff on the Monologue)."

Oberheim Matrix-12 Pure Noise Chaos Demo #8

"Audio and Video by G-Storm Electro c.2017

I replaced the memory backup battery today. Before restoring my patches, I took a little tour of the corrupted/random patch data. Behold the glorious analog synthesizer dark noise madness. I'm talking full-on freakout mode. Take note of the corrupted patch names - reminds me of some weird alien dialect. In case you're wondering there is nothing wrong with my synth, it's working better than ever before. Recorded direct to Tascam DR-5, only normalization applied to some quiet parts."

Multiple Filter Modes for Roland GR-300

Expedition Electronics
Published on Aug 10, 2017

"Second in the series of Gr-300 mods and it's a long one! This mod provides 15 different filter modes in a similar manner as the Oberheim Xpander. I ramble on through the list of modes first without playing the synth. Actual synth output audio starts at about 5:30. Skip ahead if you want to get right to it! The synth output is panned mostly left and commentary mostly right if you want to try to balance it (or want to mute commentary)

Just near the end I mention a 3 bit DAC, but I should have said 3 bit ADC."

I believe this is a follow-up to this previous post.
