April 2018 CMOS noise machine + FXs

Published on Apr 15, 2018 stolenfat11

"Built into an old suitcase, this noise machine utilizes a CV starve sequencer to create an entire universe of different sounds. It's mega fun if your into wild crazy and unpredictable noise.

4017 sequencer + 40106 clocks/oscillator bank, 4082 logic gate, 4040 divider, 4046 VCO, 471 WSG filter (MFOS), 4069 Fuzz unit, pt2399 echo/delay.

A very cool and fun experiment which I'm quite happy with. I had great time building this and added some graphics to the video to hopefully help others make their own variants on this idea. Keep building amigos!"

ENHANCIA Launches MIDI Ring Controller Neova on Kickstarter

You might remember Enhancia's ring controller from this post back in January.

They are now on Kickstarter.

"Grenoble, France. April 17, 2018: ENHANCIA is pleased to announce that MIDI ring Neova will be available for pre-sale on Kickstarter on April 17, 2018 at 17:00 UTC+2. The campaign will continue until May 17, 2018 and ENHANCIA set out the goal of $50,000 to finish the product development and manufacturing.

Neova is a MIDI ring controller that lets musicians control any musical effect with natural hand gestures. The ring comes with a hub that connects via USB to the computer or via MIDI with instruments that supports it. Neova synchronizes to any DAW and compatible with any software synthesizers and MIDI controllers.

“As a musician, I believe that emotion is the purpose of each melody. In musical performance, subtlety is a key. Every intention, every micro-gesture should be captured to reflect the intensity of your feeling as truthfully as possible. We imagined Neova with the simple idea of creating the shortest path between your musical intention and music creation” - says Enhancia’s co-founder and CEO Damien Le Boulaire.

Neova is designed with 9 motion sensors which have highly accurate gesture recognition algorithms. They enable to control musical effects naturally and only when intended to. The gesture library consists of following intuitive movements:

● Vibrato, Bend and Tilt specifically designed to enhance the play on the instrument.
● Wave and Roll let musicians control the music in the air.

To give musicians instant responsivity, ENHANCIA created its own wireless proprietary protocol which is optimized for ultra low latency. The technology is 8 times more reactive than Bluetooth with unparalleled 2ms of latency. The overall system is a patented technology."
