'I sat down with the C15 not knowing what really to expect and what I found was an instrument that begged to played. Expressive in ways that only FM can be with a couple of assignable ribbon controllers that span the width of the instrument, and with a button for every parameter, the C15 is truly inspiring to play. I didn’t want to stop. Mostly cinematic and pad type sounds featured here though there are many keyboard, string and brass-type presets as well.'"

"The new 100 Grit from Schlappi Engineering may be a Moog style ladder filter at the core but it certainly doesn't sound anything like the deep rich low pass filtering you'd expect from a Moog synth. It's brutal distortion, performance switching and touch plates add noise, self patched chaos options and more for harsh noise and driven distorted processing."

"Expecting nothing less from the team at Instruo they've delivered lots of great new Eurorack modules for Superbooth 2019. Lubadh (or Lúbadh to precise) is a dual tape looper module that has two reels to record to, scrub, loop, modulate, play in reverse, re-pitch and more. The emulation and inspiration of Nagra tape machines doesn't end with the looping as the input stages offer analogue emulations of the sound of tape with soft clipping, filtering and asymmetrical saturation. You can also sound on sound loop and derive various clock divisions / multiplications per loop to sync a whole system."

"Shown at Superbooth for the first time, the SKULPT puts a lot of synth power into a small box and provides four true polyphonic voices of synthesis with sound creation features.

Also launched was the CRAFTsynth 2.0 which offers some 40 waveforms to choose from, and with the ability to select and morph between the waveforms in a bank. It includes eight oscillator banks covering Virtual Analogue, Digital and Generative waves.
