"Parallax Stereo Low Pass Filter
Parallax is a stereo filter designed with a classic sound, a simple friendly interface, lots of modulation options and two flavours of output. Designed to bring your modular system into a stereo world, Parallax is a pair of filters for your left and right signals which are controlled with common stereo controls, as well as controls to skew the cutoff and resonance in the stereo field. Parallax is perfect for making synth patches from stereo sources, or for taking a mono signal and making it stereo.
A stereo signal (or mono to the left input) passes through filters based on the design of the classic Pro-One but with a number of tweaks to update the filter for modern use. in addition to the -24dB/oct outputs there are -12db/oct outputs added for a brighter, smoother sound in addition to the powerful sound four-pole sound you would expect. All outputs are available simultaneously, giving you more patching options."
"Vertex Stereo VCA
Vertex is a stereo VCA with some clever tricks up its sleeve to give you more control over the stereo domain. Vertex contains four analogue VCAs configured in such a way as to give you voltage control of the amplitude of a stereo signal (or make a mono signal stereo) as well as having control of the balance or panning of the signal.
Easily patch up a stereo signal path with a single envelope generator, skew your stereo image or pan a mono signal with CV. Vertex also takes advantage of the VCAs used to be able to saturate at unity gain without distorting your audio signal. This means that you can waveshape an AD envelope into an AHD using the Skew control to add punch to your patch, and use the Skew CV to dynamically alter the envelope timing to change the relative loudness between the Left and Right signals while still keeping the peak signal levels the same.
Vertex is also a great tool for controlling the dynamics of an XY signal for oscilloscope or vector laser patches."

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #87: Wersi DX 1000 - Song 1
Published on Apr 25, 2020 Christian's Sonic Spaces
"This is the first song with the Wersi DX 1000. It's a 54-note polyphonic, 16-part multitimbral ROM-based sound module using the so called ASIC-Technology. It features 256 ROM sounds, 256 RAM sounds and 6 drum sets with overall 120 drum sounds. Somehow there is almost nothing known about this unit, expect the above features that I found here and there. There is neither an operation manual available nor any deeper description. Well, it has RAM sounds, which implies that one should be able to change sounds, but so far I couldn't discover yet how because the setup knob guides just to some cryptic performance related settings. I guess the unit is from the early 90s and for that age it sounds to me surprisingly good.
I used for the recording the following FX chain:
DX 1000 - Alesis Philtre - Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe - GFI System Specular Reverb 2. Depending on the recorded track some FX are deactivated
The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PCfor recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track."
Superbooth 20HE: Polyend Tracker With The Designers
Published on Apr 25, 2020 sonicstate
"Polyend made a splash with Tracker a few weeks back, we have seen it all over the internet but haven’t actually spoken to the Polyend guys about the development of the unit. We were keen to get Piotr on the end of a skype call to discuss the instrument.
Piotr gave us a walkthrough of a demo that was prepared ahead of time to demonstrate some of the capabilities of Tracker. Tracker is an 8 track sequencer, sampler and synthesizer. Originally trackers were the love child of early software samplers. As they were dealing with such small memory they used lots of sequencing tricks to get around the lack of memory."
Stand-alone S3rquencer running in Organelle.
Published on Apr 25, 2020 Servando Barreiro
"S3rquencer was a software I did with puredata some years ago now I got an organelle synth that runs puredata patches and I'm enjoying having the power of a computer in something that feels more like hardware.
This is an early version so it's not finished yet or free from bugs but I already can Jam with it and have some fun.

"Very nice condition Quasimidi Quasar with both the Hardcore and T.R.E. expansion modules installed. These aftermarket modules are rare and often fetch higher prices individually than the synth alone.
The Quasar from Quasimidi is a rack-mounted digital synthesiser module which was released in 1993. A synth that was satisfying to the Techno crowds of the day and also General MIDI friendly.
The presets and drum sounds eschewed the typical General Midi specification, which was in vogue at the time, in favour of electronic and trance techno styles. The Quasar included an arpeggiator, which was an unusual feature in 1993.
Largely a sample based machine with limited editing capabilities but enough to play with among it's 1,000 samples available for tweaking.
The synthesizer also features a robust set of effects from Chorus, vibrator to delays, reverbs, and vocoder effects."

"String and Brass synth. Dead copy of the Roland RS-202 only real difference being C to C instead of F to F. Sounds wonderful and lush. Completely recapped and everything works. Best example I’ve ever seen."
