"The Jupiter 6 is a fantastic analog polysynth that's a little bit of an underdog compared to its siblings the 4 and the 8! However, it is very powerful and is likely overlooked due to the immense fame of the others. Its a dual VCO 6 voice with cross mod capabilities, sync, and triangle, square and saw waveforms. The filter section includes standard low pass but also band pass and high pass operation. The filter envelope routing is not preset so envelope 1, 2, or both can be assigned to control the it! The LFO section is fully featured including a random output and onset delay. Of course there is full preset saving and plenty of performance oriented controls. The one downside is that it does not include chorus or ensemble like many of the other Roland polys! It does have the coolest color scheme and those futuristic aluminum sides though. The external analog ins include arpeggiator clock in, patch shift, pedal hold and CV for the VCA and VCF. Of course it has MIDI as well so there is tons of interfacing available.

All buttons are functioning fine and it sounds incredible as usual! Includes 2-prong AC power cable."

Roland SH-7

video upload by rimela

"This time I made multitrack recordings of the Roland SH-7 in Ableton Live, demonstrating that it can take you virtually anywhere, from dark and metallic to warm and creamy. All sounds are from the SH-7 except for the drum sounds in the first half of the video for which the Roland R8mkII was used. Parts were played live or programmed with the Dotcom Q960 or FR Revolution sequencers. The SH series can be perfectly integrated into a modular setup. While I wouldn't find the SH-7 ideal for percussion and drum sounds, the last 2 minutes of the video show that it's possible with this late 70s classic."

Korg Trident

"Multitrack recording of the Korg Trident from 1980. There is no midi and limited CV control, so this is pure hard labour jamming those keys. And it is a real joy to play this majestic synth. It’s mostly praised for its haunting strings and pads, but in my opinion it is also extremely suitable for solos, to which the very expressive joystick makes a huge contribution. The built-in flanger is a real bonus. All sounds in this video are from the Korg Trident, except for drums (Roland R8, Boss DR-110 and LoopLoft). There is a trigger input for the Brass section and CV input for the filter, which both are used in the second half."

Korg Poly-61

"Multitrack recording of the Korg Poly-61 (no midi, no mods). All sounds are from the Poly-61 except drums. The Korg SQ-1 was used to trigger the arpeggiator. All processing in Ableton Live."
