Apple II Plays a DIY Modular Synthesizer

"In this video we pair the trusty Apple II Plus with my newly-constructed modular synth. We check out some basics about the connections and we write a couple programs in BASIC to capitalize on this quirky connection!

"New Eurorack module coming soon from Rebel Technology.

This patch uses physical modelling to simulate two church bells, one French and one English. Both bells, each measuring 1 meter tall, were first modelled in 3D using CAD software. The 3D mesh was then used to generate a modal model.

The resulting simulation can be struck in different positions, with different sharpness and damping of the strike. Subsequent strikes interact like in a real bell to produce very complex modulated harmonics.
