"The serial number is #28337 and it was made in 1972. It already had the PPC (proportional pitch control) pad modification on it when I bought it. I have never seen another vintage 2800 with this update. They usually have the big knob for pitch bend.

All new sliders (I'm including the old ones in case someone wants to take the time to clean and save them).
Cleaned and lubed keybed and installed new keyboard bushings.
Replaced VCO2 course and fine sliders.
Replaced VCO1 v/oct, VCO2 v/oct, and 2nd voice trim pots.
Re-flowed and/or reworked previous solder joints, jumpers and repairs.
De-fluxed boards B, C, and PSU.
Complete calibration.
Rewired the low output (1/4" connector) to have a hotter high level audio output.

In the 70's, the Odyssey and the Minimoog ruled the land. The Odyssey has a unique sound and will do things that a Minimoog can't do, such as oscillator sync, duophonic capabilities (you can play two notes at once), sample and hold, and several other things. It is a sweet machine but I just never use it. Again this is NOT a Korg remake! This is the REAL Vintage beast. You can see in the photos that it comes with the original foam-lined case, the original Arp synthesizer guide, and a copy of the owner's manual in a binder."

Pink Moon (Nick Drake Cover) - Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 Ambient Synthesizer Music

video upload by Jannis Le Wolff

"🎸 In this instrumental series I'm playing some classics of Rock/Pop music history from the 60s and 70s in some alienated electronic version. In this video it is:

𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗲

I was using the Vermona Perfourmer Mk2, fed with some sequences that I created inside Ableton Live.

The Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 is organized into the following parts:

- Oscillator 1 plays the bass
- Oscillator 2 is playing some mellow ambience line that comes in after the first chorus and has a lot of reverb on it
- Oscillator 3 is playing the melody and I added a little extra distortion (Soundtoys Devil Loc)
- Oscillator 4 plays the line of the piano in the original song"

A DB-01 noodle: Gates as ghost notes

video upload by Richard DeHove

"Ghost notes (or grace notes) are little extra hits or embellishments that add a subtle extra feel or layer. With the DB-01 the CV gate input and CV VCF inputs are perfect for this. Here I use the Fractio Solum by Noise Engineering to provide the gate signals. The LFO into the VCF CV is from the Erica Synths Drum Modulator dual LFO. Both are synced to the same clock as the DB-01. To give the programmed notes on the DB-01 a bit of extra initial envelope the internal LFO is set to reset with each note.
There are three audio examples. The effect is reasonably subtle so if you watch the actual notes on the timeline versus the audio "hits" then the ghost note effect is more obvious. You can also see the trigger light on the Fractio (the white cable) to see when the gate is firing. Pattern three has an odd 4/3 gate timing which produces somewhat off-beat hits.
I think the main value in the ghost notes is to create variations of standard patterns that can help maintain interest and movement. And they're fun to play with :D

Moog DFAM + Subharmonicon + 2x Mother-32 Jam

video upload by lucafrancinimusic

"I finally got the mighty Moog quartet and this is my first sort of techno/trance jam with all of them.

DFAM - kick
first Mother-32 - bass
second Mother-32 - melodic line
Subharmonicon- its polyrhythmic stuff

All moogs summed into their mixer that comes with the Moog studio kit and the summed track into Beads and to DAW.

Since I've recorded a big mono track, I've applied a stereo delay and reverb in Cubase to mid and hi freq only, to leave the kick mostly untouched."
