Kawai R-50e Digital Drum Machine - Sounds and Patterns
video upload by zibbybone
"Little brother to the R-100, but agressive none-the-less. Drum sounds include Simmons-style electronic kit, Reverb kick, snare and toms, gated snare, claps, 'HiQ' click, snap, thumb and slap bass guitar, 2 different orchestra hits and timpani.
Here I demonstrate the 4 preset drum kits and the 8 USER kits which can be overwritten with your own settings along with the 50 built-in drum patterns.
Audio was recorded direct from the headphone output into the stereo mic input on my Canon T3i (sorry about the line noise in a spot or two). Any reverb you hear is sampled into the drum sounds. Delay and flange effects can be programmed into a drum kit. I'm pretty sure those effects are achieved by "doubling" the voices limiting the machine's 8 voice polyphony."

"Vintage Korg Mono/Poly in great working condition. Has MIDI interface of unknown origin Receives note information on Channel #12 and mod wheel controls filter cutoff. The timing is extremely good and tight. There may be other functions, but it's a mystery so can't promise.
I suspect it's a modern (2000's era) interface because the note timing is very good.. 80s retrofits sometimes had slow CPUs and this is most certainly not a problem here, you'll be able to get immediate response and tight rhythms.
The synth itself sounds absolutely superb, there's some aging and nicks on the wood (see photos), and chip on back bottom of wood. and one small scratch on one key, so not "mint", but certainly 100% ready to play, the MIDI helps integrate it into modern studios."

Most Popular Synth Brand by Country?
Pictured left is a map showing the most popular synth brands searched by country on Google. It would be interesting to see what sells for each country on Reverb.

"We analyzed the Google searches for the 6 most popular synthesizer brands in 118 countries and evaluated the results. The findings are very interesting and show that people are generally interested in brands from their own country."

Many thanks to the official Korg dealer Music Sound A.Tillirides & Son Ltd here in Cyprus for sending me this over for a week to check it out, much appreciated!"

Memes aside, let’s make Sandstorm by Darude on our Frap Tools system
video upload by Frap Tools
"Yeah, drones and experimental stuff are fine, but sometimes we only need a four-on-the-floor kick and an uplifting synth lead. Sandstorm by @darude has both so we thought we may give it a go on our Frap Tools system!
The modules we mostly used are our Brenso and Cunsa. In this video, Cunsa performs three tasks: a filter for the bass line, a kick drum, and a distortion effect for the lead. Quite flexible!
We hope we didn't get too close and avoid getting a copyright claim.
