The CX2 is a stereo, proto-groovebox that is part warm analog synth, part organ, part crunchy, punchy 12-bit sampled drums, all user programable with analog effects and auto-accompaniment. Not bad for 1984!!

The CX2’s drum machine section consists of 54 preset rhytms, but it is also possible to compose your own rhytms by using its composer (static/real time composing) and the 20 different drum sounds available, plus it also has programable accents.

The accompaniment section has a bass (guitar, synth, tuba), chord (e-piano, guitar, wah guitar, strings, organ), and arpeggio section (brass, clarinet, banjo, bells, strings) which can be played solo or combined. When the drumsection plays the accompaniment section can be triggered and transposed via the 29 key keyboard. And best of all, you can also make your own custom bass, chords, and arpeggio patterns!

"Dynacord ADD-One (advanced digital drums) is a German-manufactured, American-designed drum module that was first released in 1986. Uses recorded samples (stored on internal Eproms) to produce its sounds through analog voltage-controlled envelopes and analog filters with resonance, to self-oscillation per voice.
Other sounds can be loaded via with the optional 'Add-One Drive'. You can sample any recorded sounds into the sampler via the microphone/line input with on-board compressor. *The 'Add-One Drive' expansion is not included with this sale.

Beyond rare. Our in-house repair tech just serviced this unit:

-Replaced filter caps and reattached bridge rectifier
-Cleaned all power supply connectors
- Removed and cleaned leads to several ICs
-Cleaned connector/pin headers between memory expansion PCB and main PCB
-Cleaned dirty controls
-Replaced (2) failed operational amplifiers in output mix section
-Installed NEW replacement LED screen"

Not one but Two Classic MFB Drum machines. One remake of Two other Classics (MFB 501 ànd MFB Kult), so really Three! And the Kult has consists of (great, not-hi-fi) samples of yet more MFB boxes, so really, I don't know, Seven? MFB Drum Machines for the price of One. And A Half! Both are fully functional and come with a non-original Euro PSU (except the 712 comes with the original as well) and no the non-descript original boxes MFB are so well-known and loved for. Because those were saying something, those anonymous boxes, they were. "We are not about looks*. We are about Sounds." Maybe. Sadly, we can't ask the original madman who invented these and many more fantastic boxes that came in non-descript white boxes. RIP, MF, and my heartfelt gratitude for all those B(erlin) boxes."
