WINTERMUTE Firmware 1.2.4 Demo Sounds

"WINTERMUTE is a strange and unique sounding generative synth. This are a bunch of audio demos of the latest firmware 1.2.4
This update also does Clock In and Clock Out, so you can sync it with external gear.
There are currently 2 official firmwares and 2 or 3 "non official" experimental ones, all are available when you get one of this machines and you can flash one or the other as the mood of the day.

"The earliest and best version of the String Ensemble, the archetypal string synth sound. All of the models sound good, but as usual, it's this earliest one (before cost-cutting, bright ideas, and rationalisation kick in) that sounds the best. This is serial number 0088063, made by Eminent before ARP heard how good it was and bought in to a modified design. Cosmetically, like 90% of Solinas, it is not very pretty. The control panel is sadly very faded and messy. But the keys are generally good (two repaired, a few with scuffs), and, most important, the nasty chipboard case, which frequently suffers damage because it is a very heavy instrument, has been replaced with a far better wooden cabinet. Checked and OK'd at VEMIA in March 2024. Packing 25GBP."

"From Mark Shreeve - actually bought from VEMIA more than ten years ago. Although the case has lots of dings, and there is a mark behind the power switch, this is otherwise in very nice cosmetic condition. Works well, and just uses a standard IEC mains lead. Serial number 177413. Packing 15GBP."

"Hans—the man who finishes every PERfourMER MKII and DRM1 MKIV that is manufactured in the Elektroakustische Manufaktur here in Erlbach—got creative and developed a complete acid house track out of the bass line.
Besides the Mono Lancet ’15 he used a PERfourMER MKII for the chords, a DRM1 MKIV for the rhythmic foundation and a Filter Lancet for some extra distortion and drum filtering.
All the other effects are done with stock plug-ins from Steinberg’s Cubase.
