"The Akai EWI3030m is a digital PCM sound module designed specifically for use with Akai’s Electronic Wind Instruments — a family of cutting-edge controllers that have set the standard for expressive wind synthesis since 1987.
Whether you're an experienced wind player or exploring wind synthesis for the first time, the EWI3030m delivers a rich, dynamic playing experience. It features high-quality sampled waveforms and responsive real-time control, capturing every subtle nuance of your performance. The EWI3030m offers:
Two sampled sound sources (digital oscillators) with 75 high-quality waveforms
Digital filtering, LFO, envelope shaping, and glide for deep sound design
Built-in reverb for added depth
128 fully programmable presets
Footswitch input for switching program chains hands-free
Audio input for EWI-controlled processing of external instruments
MIDI OUT to trigger other sound modules
Designed for expressive performance, the EWI3030m is a powerful tool whether you’re scoring, performing live, or exploring new sonic textures."

"CEM Chip Power – Oberheim Xpander DNA – MIDI Capable
Step into vintage analog glory with the Akai EWI3020M, a rack-mounted monophonic synthesizer designed to pair with the EWI3020 wind controller—but just as capable when triggered via standard MIDI! Yes, it can be used without the wind controller, making it an incredible analog voice module for any MIDI-capable setup.
At its heart lies a Curtis CEM3394 voice chip—the same chip found in the legendary Oberheim Xpander—delivering warm, punchy, and expressive tones. Originally launched in the late '80s, the EWI3020M was part of Akai’s bold foray into wind synthesis, but its standalone capabilities and exceptional tone make it a sleeper hit for analog synth enthusiasts and modular-minded players alike.
Key Features:
Monophonic analog signal path with dual VCOs, VCF, VCA, LFO, and dual EGs
CEM3394 voice chip for rich, vintage sound
Wide modulation matrix: 7 sources, 10 destinations
50 patch slots (factory + user)
Waveforms include Triangle, Saw, Square, and Sync modes
Full MIDI In/Out for use with keyboards, sequencers, or DAWs
Rackmount format – a studio-friendly synth module with stage potential
Whether you're breathing life into it with a wind controller or sequencing it via MIDI, the EWI3020M is a versatile, expressive, and highly underrated gem in the analog world."

Akai S900 MIDI Digital Sampler (1986) /// SERVICED + UPGRADED

Pics of the inside below.
"The power cable is the original (rare).
The floppy reader has been removed, and replaced by a new Gotek just for the sale, coming from CPmagneticmedia UK (80 €). It is just perfectly fitting, and solid.
Gotek is a game changer. I decided to replace because the floppy reader was not always responsive.
Now you have 4 user banks of 500 slots each + the possibility to organize your data on 16 Go USB key + some installed Akai Libraries + last version system and a screen to read your file names.
See the complete manual online, here is a short list of features I am enthusiastic:
12 bits sampling 7.5-40kHz.
analog low-pass filter
3U format rack
backlight screen
super easy navigation ansy edit
individual transposing + general tuning
velocity sensitive + aftertouch behavior
MIDI in (16) / out
8 voices polyphony and separate outputs
According AKAI themselves, the S900 is their first professional sampler. I confirm the engineering and build quality is superior to other models I owned (S700, S1000 and S1100)."

1985 E-MU Systems SP-12 Turbo 8-Voice Sampling Percussion Drum Machine with Case
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this Reverb listing
"E-Mu SP-12 with the Turbo Upgrade in Very Good+ condition, fully functional, and just received a $747 professional service by Advance Musical Electronics in LA — recapped, recalibrated & performing like new.
Originally a standard model with 1.2 seconds of sample time, it’s now upgraded to the Turbo edition with 5 seconds via brand-new RAM and OS (Version 2.6) chips.
Made in Santa Cruz, CA USA.
Highlights:
Boots instantly with internal RAM – no floppy boot loading, no lost work if you forget to save.
Skip the floppies: Modern tools like SP12 Librarian & EMXP make sample management easy via computer.
Lo-fi sampling tricks double or quadruple sample time with pitch shifting — that signature SP sound.
Slightly higher sampling rate than the SP-1200 (on paper) and stock ROM sounds built in.
More unique and rarer than the SP-1200 — only produced for a short time.
Ideal for hybrid setups: use the SP as a sequencer and sound shaper, with a rack sampler for long samples.
Looks cooler, sounds amazing, and (IMHO) it’s better than an SP-1200 for less than the price of one."

Eko Ritmo 12 (Italy, 1982) - Vintage Analog Drum Machine Rhythm Box

via this Reverb listing
"The Eko Ritmo 12 has, as the name suggests, a selection of 12 preset rhythms to choose from. The machine also offers Intro and Fill-in breaks for each of the 12 rhythms.
The rhythms are selected by 6 black switches arranged in a 6 x 2 format. All of the switches have built in red LED's to indicate the rhythm selected.
The rhythms encoded in memory are:
· Bank 1: Waltz, Tango, March, Swing, Ballad, Bossa Nova.
· Bank 2: Cha-Cha, Beguine, Samba, Rock, Disco 1, Funky.
The sound quality of the voicing of this drum machine is very good, especially the Snare, Hi-Hat, Cymbal and Cowbell!
Eko was the Italian brand that produced many legendary instruments. The Company was based in Marche, Italy, in the same area where Elka, Elgam, Farfisa, Crumar, Jen, Siel, Solton, CRB, etc. were born.
This is your chance to get your hands on a super rare drum machine made in Italy!"

Sakata • DPM-48 Digital Drum Machine w/ MIDI Upgrade SN 521323

"Sakata DPM-48 Vintage Drum machine
Made in Japan
Released 1984
220v
with MIDI kit updrade installed.
Rare musical instrument developed by Sakata, later distributed by Hammond. This digital drum machine uses same technology as Linndrum with samples on eproms. The MIDI kit (developed by FPB Synth Germany) is freshly installed for the sale.
Unfortunately, I lost the RAM card a while ago, so the pattern memories and internal sequencer are not usable… This said the MIDI kit upgrade allows you to control the drum machine from any device including modern sequencers!
So, you have access to the 22 samples via MIDI + you can trig manually at the same time.
Sounds are internally spread over a stereo field (stereo output), you also have independent mono outputs and a phones out . Of course you have the volume fader for each voice (8 sliders) and a general volume knob. So, a nice flexibility for studio environment.
Great sounding drum machine, punchy and pretty unique samples — the cymbals are really interesting. You know, 8-bit unsigned PCM sounds but realistic for the time… it delivers a great vintage flavour. As eprom based, you can totally custom your instrument. The sounds here are stock. One of the eprom has been cloned by FPB too."

Big and playable - Tobinski Sequencer & Expander
video upload by Stazma
"Today we are going to check out one of the most advanced analog sequencer on the eurorack market: the Tobinski Sequencer & it's Expander.
I'm a sequencer nerd and this one does have feature I've been dreaming of since quite a while, mostly having multiple channels (four here) that can be clocked independently from each other, multiple parallel voltage outputs and on board switching."
00:00 Intro
02:28 Complex yet simple
08:36 Custom shapes LFO
09:49 1+2 / 3+4 outputs
14:43 Automatic switching 1 & 3 and 2 & 4
17:47 Making weird Jungle music with it
21:27 More on the expander
27:41 Syncing it and making weirdo acid
