You can find a demo of a previous one here.

"Quite rare italian polyphonic keyboard with 4 sounds: cello, violin, piano and harpsichord.
Very simple design and yet very nice sounding. Check the demo I made.
You can mute evey section with its dedicated switch and you have control over individual volumes, as well as "sustain" for the string presets and "decay" for the keyboard presets.
Inside there is of course a BBD based chorus, using classic TCA350Y chipsets, like many famous string synth: Eminent Solina, Logan/Hohner String Melody, Elka Rhapsody etc
Like on the Elka Rhapsody it's only a double chorus, not a triple one, so string sound is not as lush as on the Solina or Logan. But these strings sounds very nice, better IMO then the Elka.
Check the video I made with a similar unit.
There are also seperate outputs for both sections. I also added a dry output (without the ensemble effect) for the string section so you could use external ensemble effect like the Wersi Wersivoice or any fx.
And furthermore the instrument is quite compact and leightweight (13.5 kilos) for a string synth, which makes a great live performer."

Pics of the inside below.

The Thomas Synti 1055 is a" monophonic analog synthesizer produced in the 1970s by the Thomas Organ Company, which in 1973 acquired the rights to produce the Moog Satellite, one of the first synthesizers made by the historic American company. The original design was extended and improved by Thomas engineers, who managed to create an instrument that was more comfortable and simple to use live, while maintaining the same character and sonic depth as its predecessor. The completely analog heart of this instrument consisted of a single relaxation oscillator, capable of generating a single sawtooth (or square) wave, which was then filtered and processed by various downstream circuits to shape its harmonic content and envelope. It's clear that these techniques couldn't achieve "realistic" sounds in the modern sense of the word, but they still managed to create unique timbres, still very interesting today, which inspired much of the music of the time."

ROLAND TR-1000 [02] // LØSTLVLS

video upload by LØSTLVLS

"Exploring the wonky lo-fi glitch-beat side of the TR-1000, inspired by Kona Triangle's Sing a Sapling into Existence album from 2009.

Back in 2014 I got into Teebs, Flying Lotus, Shlohmo, Shigeto and a bunch more, after being obsessed with Nujabes, Five Deez, Shing02, Fat Jon and a bunch of others. Something about dense, ducking textures with thick kicks and wonky percussion sets my soul alight.

The SP-404 was a 'founding piece' of my musical development - while the MPC 1000 was perfection, the SP was portable and performative in ways that perfectly complemented the MPC - I was lucky enough to see Teebs live performing with his two SP-404s and his set was awesome. If you remember the old Roland forums where Flying Lotus personally shared the 'FlyLo Technique' then you officially rock.

Anyway, enjoy!

WMD CLUTCH - How to customize your module's interface with the HIHAT.INI text file.

video upload by WMDevices

"WMD Clutch is a sample based hihat module with two layers of samples, lots of performance features, built-in effects, and loads of CV control making it a percussion powerhouse. It also features an editable text file which allows you to customize how the interface behaves, dial in the tone of the effects, and much more.

In this video, we go through how to interperate the file, and how to edit the parameters, giving examples and explanations along the way."

OP-XY ambient with mixer & tape

video upload by Robot Ostrich Dreams

"Expanding the OP-XY for live performance.

I love the OP-XY as a standalone tool, but for this ambient jam, I wanted more tactile control. I’m using the Novation Launch Control XL (mk2) to handle mixing and spatial effects.

The Mapping:
Volume on faders.
Filters on the top pots.
Delay and Reverb sends on the remaining knobs.

Watch for the drum processing in the second half. By sending only the drums to the Tape track, I can trigger glitchy breaks and fills without affecting the melodic elements.

Gear:
Teenage Engineering OP-XY
Novation Launch Control XL (mk2)
iPhone 17 Pro"

"This year, I really want to try.
I want to get better, I want to become more fluent in the language of the many instruments I've collected, I have no idea where this will lead me, probably I'll feel the urge to sell everything and go back to just listening to other people's music, but in order to find that out, I need to at least try.
So here we are!"
