The G2 Toolbox

Title link takes you to a nice Clavia G2 Modular site with a load of useful resources. They have a number of patches listed that show you how the patch was made. If you don't have a G2, you can pick up a mono copy of the G2 Engine for free and start exploring these patches. Pretty cool. Via Moogulator.

Update: More info on the track: "This song was made with my, Sequential Circuits Prophet 600. Every synth sound in this tune was made with the Prophet. The drum sounds are all samples from a tr808 and tr909. I used Ableton Live for the sequencer."

Mark's Tribute to Bob

The Packrat - Bad JU JU

I'm sad to say that this could be the last Packrat strip for some time. This is the last strip for Keyboard magazine and David C. Lovelace plans to put the rat on hold for a bit while he focuses on other projects. Title link takes you to the rest of the Packrat toons. "This stuff is strong (it can support body weight), and lets you actually touch, squeeze, grab, and otherwise manipulate a large-scale fabric surface to control computer-generated imagery." Would be easy to convert that to MIDI control. I bet you could wear the stuff as well. Hmm... I'll just leave it to your imagination.
