This custom-built unit is currently installed with a combination of 5 SMR-4 and 1 Ladder voice cards, offering a versatile sonic palette for the discerning musician.

Key Features:

Voice Card Configuration: 6 voices total, to be played mono or poly. 5 SMR-4 (Smooth "Rolandish" type filter) and 1 Ladder (Rich, dirty "Moog" type filter) voice cards, providing a diverse range of tones. Ships with an additional voice card of each type, the voice cards can easily be mixed and matched for a variety of set-ups. Want 6 SMR-4 cards? Want 4 SMR-4 and 2 Ladder cards? 'I replaced all the din connectors and also replaced one of the exponential converter of the VCO 1 with the excellent PA726 as it had pitch stability issues. It has no influence on the actual sound vs the original. Just the pitch tracking is improved."

"Fully functional and in excellent cosmetic condition for its age Yamaha CS70M. It has been serviced to ensure reliable use.

The CS-70m is the younger sibling/sucessor to the legendary Yamaha CS-80.

In fact It improves upon the reliability and features of the CS80. the programability of the CS 70m allows for incredible textures just not possible with other vintage synths from the era and is the last analog yamaha synthesizer of the era.

Service notes include (05/05/25):

Replacing electrolytic capacitors in power supply
Replacing 2-prong inlet with modern 3-prong IEC inlet (NOTE: unit was photographed prior to the IEC replacement)
Cleaning flushing and lubricating all sliders
Cleaning flushing and lubricating all potentiometers
Cleaning all internal switch contacts
Cleaning all I/O jacks
Cleaning battery compartment and replacing batteries"

GLEEMAN PENTAPHONIC + TASCAM 38 DEMO

"Here's another Gleeman Pentaphonic that was restored by the shop. We decided to kill two birds and put in another repair item, the Tascam 38 Reel to Reel 1/2" 8 Track Tape Machine. The audio output is recorded directly to tape. (Tascam 38 is for adam remnant, check out his music/Instagram @adamremnant)

There are only around 50 units ever manufactured by the Gleeman Brothers Al and Bob. Such a truly amazing sounding 5 voice polyphonic synthesizer. This five voice polyphonic synthesizer sounds very large in such a small package and is a hybrid of both analog/digital. Featuring a 300 note Polyphonic Sequencer, "Presetter" preset control switches, X+Y Joystick Pitch and Mod controller, and 100 programmable presets.
