ALM Busy Circuits System Coupe Hybrid Ableton Live Jam & Patch Walkthrough

Perfect Circuit

"The ALM Busy Circuits System Coupe is an 84HP system with an 8 channel sampler (Squid Salmple), digital VCO (MCO) and an analog multimode filter (MCF). The system has a quad VCA/mixer (Tangle Quartet) and a module that lets you use and effects pedal as an effect in your modular (Milton). For sequencing and modulation there is the function generator (Quaid Megaslope) and clock divider (Pam’s New Workout). You can also sequence it with midi with the mmmidi and mmT expander. The System Coupe also comes with all of the cables and everything you need to start playing modular.

In this video we used the System Coupe in a hybrid setup with Ableton Live, some of the sounds like the kick drum come from a VST running in Ableton, the Coupe is used to add percussion and vocal samples as well as a synth line. The Milton module also made it possible to easily use an effects pedal with the system. It is also possible to use the System Coupe without an external midi sequencer as you can trigger your drums with the Pam’s New Workout and use the Quaid Megaslope as a pitch sequencer.

System Coupe available here: https://www.perfectcircuit.com/alm-sy...

The sample pack by Trovarsi we used in the video is available here: https://www.trovarsiofficial.com/samp..."

First Track with the ASM Hydrasynth Explorer

video upload by allmyfriendsaresynths

"I have been experimenting with the ASM Hydrasynth explorer over the past wee while, and so far am rather taken with it. This is the very first track that I wrote and recorded with it. The drums come from the ALM Squid Salmple, and all the melodic stuff comes from the Hydrasynth Explorer.

The video is just a bit of a weird mish-mash of things that came to mind loosely related to Hydra. Hydra... Snakes. Get it?!?!"

MC-4 Electro Jam

video by ALM TV

"The Roland MC-4 was an early microprocessor based sequencer released by Roland in 1981.

In this patch Pam is synced via Din Sync to the Roland MC-4 clock. Pam is then used to sequence a drum pattern using mainly the Squid Salmple (and Akemies Taiko).

The MC-4 CV outputs are used to provide melody and some modulation to 3 MCO's."

Baba O’Riley (Modular Synth Who cover)

video upload by Planter Music

"Maybe I’ll go back and figure out what the second synth is doing but what a classic. I used the ALM ASQ-1 for the main synth arpeggio and then the bass notes. The metropolix is doing the secondary synth part and then the squid Salmple for the drums."

AXON-1 & 2 Expanders - Basics

video upload by ALM TV

"The AXON-1 & 2 provide Pamela’s PRO Workout, SQUID SALMPLE, and MFX with four additional freely assignable CV inputs. The AXON-2 additionally provides manual offset controls with each CV input along with two performance buttons that can be mapped to various functions depending on the host module.

The AXONs function in a similar way with all three of the host modules with only one AXON supported per host at any time. Here we take a look at using both AXON-1 and 2 primarily connected to the Pamela's PRO Workout."
