Noise Engineering announces Xer Dualis and Sinc Pravus, two new hardware modules

Los Angeles, CA — Noise Engineering is excited to announce two new modules. Xer Dualis is a 6hp stereo mixer and Sinc Pravus is a 4hp configurable offset. Both modules will begin shipping November 3, 2022, but will be on hand for in-person demos with a limited number for purchase at Synthplex this weekend (October 28-30, 2022), in Burbank, CA, USA.

New Modules
Xer Dualis is a compact four-channel stereo mixer. Use the individual left and right inputs for your stereo signals, or just the left input for a mono signal: it normals to the right one. Each channel has a mute and an individual level control so you can fine-tune your mix to your taste. XD’s stereo output pair features a simple meter and a clip indicator to help keep your mix clean. Xer Dualis is a great choice whether you need a submixer for a large system or an easy way to mix all the elements of a portable case together. Availability and pricing: Preorders open now. In stock in black and silver. Shipping from Noise Engineering and retailers starting November 3, 2022; MSRP US$170

Notable features: Xer Dualis
● 6 HP
● Stereo mixer
● Switch mutes
● Clip indicator
● Great size for any system

Sinc Pravus is a workhorse of a quad offset in 4hp. Sometimes you have the perfect CV signal, but it’s just not in the right range. Enter Sinc Pravus. Each of Sinc Pravus’s four channels are controlled by a dedicated potentiometer with an LED for monitoring signal outputs. The input jacks are normaled from top to bottom so it can offset the same signal by different amounts or simply act as a mult.

Use the back-panel switch to configure Sinc Pravus’s offset range to either ±5 or ±10 volts. With nothing patched to the inputs, the channels can be used as DC-voltage generators, especially useful for controlling multiple CV destinations with a single parameter.

Availability and pricing: Preorders open now. In stock in black and silver. Shipping from Noise Engineering and retailers starting November 3, 2022; MSRP US$140

Notable features: Sinc Pravus
● 4HP
● Configurable range for either ±5 or ±10 volts of offsetting
● Use normaled inputs to mult signals or offset one signal by different amounts

Noise Engineering Cursus Iteritas Percido, Terci Ruina, & Sinc Bucina Demos

Cursus Iteritas Percido wavetable oscillator with MASTER BLASTER demo

Published on Apr 17, 2019 Noise Engineering

See this post for details on each. Also see Noise Engineering at Synthplex.

Cursus Iteritas Percido is the second module in the Percido line of powerful synth voices. Similar to its predecessor the Loquelic Iteritas Percido, CIP takes the original Cursus Iteritas and adds the same musical envelope from LIP with attenuverter-controlled routing to every knob. With the inclusion of the performance-oriented Master Blaster and CV outputs, CIP is a powerhouse of incredibly versatile synthesis.

Terci Ruina demo - Distortion for modular synth in 4HP

Terci Ruina combines three classic distortions in 4 hp. Distortions are reinterpreted in classic NE style and routed through each other for complete sonic annihilation of any sound. Patch in and out anwyere in the signal chain to pick the best sound for your purpose (because modular). Looking for a pretty distortion? This is probably not your module. Unapologetically gross and dirty.

Sinc Bucina demo: VCA/VCF combo with resonant filter in 4HP

Sinc Bucina is the sequel to one of our first modules, Sinclastic Empulatrix, replacing the clamping VCA with a resonant lowpass VCF and VCA combo. The velocity-dependent Ping input offers classic release-only LPG behavior, while the Gate in offers much more complex slewing, useful for simple ASR envelopes to dynamic modulation. The envelope out allows the internal envelope to be routed out into a patch for even more versatility and modulation fun.

Noise Engineering New Modules At SYNTHPLEX 2019

Published on Apr 1, 2019 Perfect Circuit

"Noise Engineering showed us some of their new modules at SynthPlex 2019. This patch uses the Vox Digitalis as a sequencer, Cursus Iteritas Percido as the voice, Sinc Bucina low pass gate and Kith Ruina distortion. Noise Engineering also let us know that all of their modules will start coming with black panels.

Custom Synthplex Eurorack Modular Drum System

Published on Feb 26, 2019 Perfect Circuit

"Synthplex is happening in Burbank California March 28th-31st 2019. We are going to have a booth there where you can play with this eurorack drum system as well as other synths and gear. There will be lots of eurorack and other manufactuers there with booths as well as performances and workshops. Follow our Instagram @perfect_circuit for a chance to win free tickets.

Synthplex tickets are available here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/synthple...

This system uses the Doepfer A-157 as the core sequencer with a Pittsburgh Lifeforms sequencer for CV sequencing. There are two drum/synth voices from Noise Engineering, the Basimilus Iteritas Alter and Manis Iteritas.

The rest of the system is built around synthesis with two noise generators, SSF Quantum Rainbow 2 and Hexinverter VCNO. For oscillators there are two Make Noise STOs and a Sinc Iter. Filtering comes from an AJH Mini-Moog style ladder filter and Intellijel MS-20 style Morgasmatron. There are six envelopes from Maths and Quadra and a discrete transistor VCA/mixer made by combining multiple XAOC Tallins with a unity mixer. There is also a WMD/SSF DPLR delay effect."
