Kraftwerk Autobahn performance in Live with MIDI loops

Published on Sep 15, 2017 Paul Schilling

"A demo of some of the patches I created for the Arturia Modular V (part of the 'Kraft Tribute' patch set), with a little bit of live tweaking.

The Modular and Mini V do a good job of soft clip/distortion like the overdriven Minimoog filter/VCA"

Polyfusion Modular System at Knobcon

via Paul Schilling‎

"I was at Knobcon on Saturday...it could have been an elaborate dream but there was a Polyfusion booth, with a beautiful Polyfusion modular, and a very nice man told me reassuringly that they were bringing all of the modules back. They were even working on a poly synth using the same circuitry. Did anyone else have the same dream?"

According to the people bringing back the Polyfusion:

"The machine at the show is new old stock. Although we look young, we are working with and have exclusive license with Polyfusion in NY. Please get all the facts before spreading misinformation!!! We worked very hard to have this opportunity.

Polyfusion will be manufacturing the modules so they will be coming straight from them."

Kraftwerk Demos for Arturia "Kraft Tribute" sound pack

"6 demo tracks using patches from my "Kraft Tribute" sound pack available via Arturia's new Sound Store. All sequence, drum, and sound FX parts are done on the Modular V. Most of the lead, bass, string and pad sounds are done on the Prophet V, with the exception of Autobahn, which (save the 'KlangPiano' sound) is all Modular V, and features its soft clip/overdrive setting that emulates the Minimoog's overdrive characteristics quite well.

Dervish D Vangelis Tribute by Paul Schilling

"A tribute to one of my musical Gods, Vangelis. His original comment for this track:

'inspired by the Dervish dancer who by his whirling realises the spiralling of the universe'"

The main synth sounds were created with Arturia Origin and CS-80V3 - mainly all Arturia Origin CS-80 modules, except for the Vangelis harmonica and lead sound, which is the Arturia CS-80V3. The percussion and pad towards the end are the DSI Prophet-6.

"When did time begin, and where does space end
Isn't life under the sun just a dream"

"Roland VP-03 Angels"

Update: "This is the VP-03 running through the Eventide Blackhole reverb. For this track each note was recorded on a separate track, panned to a different part of the stereo field, then used the faders to emphasize individual notes. 10cc did this in 'I'm Not In Love'."
