SYNCLAVIER II CLIP #3 CPU + TRACK AND WOOD WORK!

Published on Dec 16, 2017 100 Things I Do

"The final in the series on the Synclavier II. Thanks to a few requests this week we take a look inside the flight cased CPU,. I play a track on the Synclavier I'm working and show the restoration of keyboard's timber frame following the same hand rubbed method as originally done by New England Digital with the synth was new!

While the Synclavier will return in other views I want to take a look at the u-he Repro-5 and the Arturia Buchla Music Easel in the next few clips. Hopefully before the end of the year! :D"

All parts here.

Repro 1.1 Update Now Available with Repro-5 | Patches via BoBSwanS

Repro-5 Patches by BoB SwanS Available Now!! Published on Dec 15, 2017 BoBSwanS

via U-He:

"We are wrapping up 2017 with the release of Repro v1.1, a free update for Repro-1. A year ago we released Repro-1, a brash and raw monosynth. This year we added a new polyphonic family member: Repro-5.

Repro-5 shares a lot of sonic DNA with Repro-1, but once you start playing with Repro-5 you will discover new and unique flavours and characteristics, most notably polyphony."

And via BoBSwanS:

"I rarely have the time to create patches since the birth of my daughter but after playing with the public beta of U-He Repro-5

I was amazed and excited to create some patches similar to my Prophet 12 offerings. This is seriously (in my opinion) The most authentic sounding Prophet 5\Analog synth emulation i have ever had the pleasure of using.

So without any further rambling

I present

126 new patches for U-he Repro-5 by BoB SwanS

Featuring Classic and Contemporary Basses, Leads, Keys, Pads and Fx

I have programmed the majority of these patches to have both subtle and dramatic changes in tone and character using the 2 available mod slots, Aftertouch, Velocity and the mod wheel assign functions.

All patches are tagged using the plugin's internal tagging system

Please take the time to listen to the audio demo's before you purchase the patches, It is a short selection of a few personal favourites, some are played live and some are sequenced.
The demo's have no fx other than the ones built into Repro-5 and the file is not Mastered or EQ'd in any way

The patches are available here
https://sellfy.com/p/pQ7c/

A special introductory price of 12 Euro is available until the 31st of December 2017, after that they will be 16 Euro

Enjoy!!"

Synclavier II - Clip #1 - Harmonic Additive Synthesis

Published on Dec 2, 2017 100 Things I Do

"After many months of waiting my Synclavier II system finally arrived! As you will see it was an almost complete refurbish of the 1982 Synclavier II system. Its amazing how warm the Synclavier sounds when you consider its 8bit digital synthesis. Other FM synths of the time that were more available to us mere mortals really sound nothing like it.

I asked for the Keyboard to be left in its bare wood state I will finish this with danish oil very soon (might put a clip up on me doing this if anyone is interested ?)

Changing things up a little I have decided to do a few clips in series on the Sync, There seems to be a absence of Synclavier videos on Youtube! Clip 1 is focused on the Additive Synthesis, #2 will be focused on FM and #3 hopefully with be making a track. Would anyone be interested an a Synclavier II v Artiriua Synclavier V comparison also maybe ?

If anyone is still reading ... I would be interested to know if you prefer the text over the clip as I work to continue or would you rather I talked more about what I was doing and my intensions as I make patches ? Let me know your thoughts! I see a lot of synth videos with "NO TALKING" as a selling/advertising point... is this really a thing ?"

U-He RePro 5 Patch test

Published on Dec 2, 2017 BoBSwanS

"Playing around with a few patches i programmed for U-He's RePro 5 Synth. This is by far the most authentic sounding Prophet 5 emulation i have ever used. The public beta of the software is available here http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtop...

All sounds created using RePro - 5 and its Rack of FX

These patches will make up part of a bank i will be releasing in the next few months, so check back for more demo's"

False Prophets - U-He Repro 5

"Here's my second, dirtier demo of U-He upcoming beauty of a synth. I tried to coax some rougher material with the aid of audio-rate modulation options and the very versatile FX section."

Previous demo here.

5 Steps Ahead - U-He Repro 5

"Here is my first demo of this terrific new synth by the magicians at U-He. Please note that I used a beta version, and only patches I made myself are used, nothing like what masters programmers like Howard Scarr will contribute!"
