Vermona Gesprächskonzert with Tomka Manu Modula @SUPERBOOTH17 from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"Vermona presented the most part of their product line at SUPERBOOTH17 with a Gesprächskonzert by Tomka Manu Modula. They played a slow jam session with lots of high quality sounds coming from the modular, equipped mostly with Vermona and Cwejman modules and an additional Vermona ‘14 Synthesizer Keyboard.

Vermona will be at SUPERBOOTH18 again - you can meet them and check out their products at Booth #O234 or watch the Vermona Gesprächskonzert on Friday at 5:20pm in the cinema."

“The knobs are amazing” – Erica Synths presenting their Drum Sequencer @Superbooth

“The knobs are amazing” – Erica Synths presenting their Drum Sequencer @Superbooth from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"The long awaited Drum Sequencer by Erica Synths did get a lot attention at last years SUPERBOOTH17. Still being under development this presentation of the module is a great way to get an impression of the workflow of this module. And: “The knobs are amazing.”

Kodek plays some Dub inspired music, with the Drum Sequencer being the heart of his modular system. The all improvised performance proves this sequencer to be a really nice tool to create live music on the fly. Additionally some of the drum modules he uses are soon-to-be-released modules by this busy company from Latvia.

At SUPERBOOTH18 Erica Synths will play another Gesprächskonzert on Saturday at 3:40pm and you can find their Booth E245 in the Foyer."

Dataline presenting the Elektron Digitakt at SUPERBOOTH17 from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"The Gesprächskonzert by Elektron features the Digitakt and Analog Heat. The more affordable and most hands on Elektron sound source - the Digitakt - was announced at Superbooth in 2017. Here you can see Dataline playing with it on the first day of the release of this versatile sampler and sound design machine. Sound design (and destruction) can also be achieved with the second product in this video - the Analog Heat. Here you can here both machines in action.

Elektron will also be at SUPERBOOTH18, where you can also see their latest product - the Digitone! You can find the Elektron Booth in the new West Wing at SUPERBOOTH18 -> Booth W110

Elektron will do another Gesprächskonzert at SUPERBOOTH18 -> Thursday 3rd of May, 5pm"

"And thank you for the music and all the best to you and your families around Manfred and Gloria - aka MFB who presented their new products in a very danceable fashion at SUPERBOOTH17 here. The Gesprächskonzert showed the new Dominion Club, Nanozwerg Pro, Digital Delay and their well known drum machines. The whole performance is done entirely with MFB products and shows the wide palette of products they offer these days."

Modern Talking? w/ Ken MacBeth

Modern Talking? from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"Ken Macbeth was visiting us to review the very first gig with his outstanding band FucketYbUcKetY on SUPERBOOTH17. In the audience there was also Marco Haas alias shitkatapult alias T.Raumschmiere who stated out sponaneously that he will only play again on Superbooth if-then together with this guy. So I asked them both to visit me in my office to talk and we (..they) did. We had a good laugh and compared a lot of thoughts, looking forward to SUPERBOOTH18 already."

Mark Verbos & Mark Didemus live

Matt Verbos & Mark Didemus live from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"Mark Verbos and Matt Didemus played a performance on SUPERBOOTH17 here. Both living in Berlin now could visit me in my office for a chat yesterday where we recorded this interview. At the end of it you will see the performance Mark and Matt played live, before this we show you the brilliant Gesprächskonzert by Mark Verbos introducing his modular products to our great audience on Superbooth and to you. Please forgive us some cuts that we had to make towards dropouts and technical issues while recording, I think were getting better week by week."

SUPERBOOTH18 Announced!

The following is the press release announcing SUPERBOOTH18, followed by videos of SUPERBOOTH17 from the host of Superbooth, Andreas Schneider, aka HerrSchneider himself. If you are a regular on MATRIXSYNTH, you should know what Superbooth is. If you don't, it is the largest synth event in Eurorpe. You can find all Superbooth posts here.

"SUPERBOOTH18 will return to FEZ Berlin in 2018: 03. - 05. May 2018

SUPERBOOTH18 is the first and the largest European trade fair for electronic musical in- struments, giving you the opportunity to experience the latest innovations and rare instru- ments. At SUPERBOOTH18 the visitors get the chance to meet a large number of exhibi- tors from all over the world in an incomparable atmosphere. In addition to the exhibition stands, there will be around 30 daily concerts and live performances, workshops and talks taking place again.

Due to the strong demand for this years exhibition space it was not possible to fit all inte- rested exhibitors to the floor plan. For next years edition there will be an extra area for tho- se manufacturers who could not take part in 2017 and for new candidates. With this extra room it is possible to expand the range of product categories shown at SUPERBOOTH18 for an even more complete experience. Because of the great success in 2017 the organi- zers have decided to return to FEZ Berlin in 2018 and develop the event in the same ve- nue. The unique design of the FEZ building, the outside-area, the exhibitor areas, studios, workshop rooms and food court provide an excellent basis for SUPERBOOTH18 and they are spread barrier-free over three floors.

The very well received show program of this years SUPERBOOTH17 has been recorded and edited in the past weeks. Selected concerts and performances will be released online within the next months. This is a nice opportunity for everyone who hasn’t been able to see the show program of SUPERBOOTH17 to get an impression of the atmosphere of this incomparable event."

The following are a few videos from SUPERBOOTH17.

Mario Hammer @ SUPERBOOTH17 from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"The first real performance - officially the AKAI-Gespraechskonzert - on SUPERBOOTH17 was the introduction by >Mario Hammer and the lonely robot< for his latest record release called >je L'ai calisseé la< .. He played another gig the same afternoon on the seaside stage, but unfortunately we did not record that one. So please buy the record in a competent store to calm down or for your next aftershow event?"

Joker Nies & Joerg Sunderkoetter @ SUPERBOOTH17 from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"One of the uncounted real synth concerts and a really smart performance on SUPERBOOTH17 was the product presentation alias Gespraechskonzert for KORG in the Cinema. Jörg Sunderkötter - known as Sound&Recording's earlier chief editor, here on the keyboards - and his studio partner Joker Nies - also an expert for circuit bending - had some problems to find on stage but then .. turn it loud and see yourselves."

Ströme live beim PULS Festival 2016 (Full Concert) & Live at Superbooth 2017

Published on Dec 6, 2016 PULS Musik

"Alle Fotos und Videos vom PULS Festival: http://www.deinpuls.de/festival"

via Florian Anwander:

"Two guys from Munich, Germany do live music with two big modular systems. The group is called 'Ströme' which is german for "electric currents". They are professional musicians. They played bass and drums for several years in the very successful bavarian band "La Brass Banda". The left one is Mario Schönhuber, the (former) bass player. He is doing most of the sequences and chords. The guy at the right system is Tobias Weber (drummer at La Brass Banda), he is doing all drums and percussive stuff.

Tobias uses in the first video the Doepfer A-157 for the drum programming, but changed now to a Tiptop Audio Circadian Rhythm (can be seen in the Berlin video).

Marios uses a combination of Audio Damage Sequencer 1, Stillson Hammer, Intellijel Metropolis, and Make Noise Tempi for his bass sequences. In the first video he is using still a Roland JD-Xi for the chords, but recently he changed over to a Audio Damage Sequencer 1 which controls for Doepfer A-111-3 plus monophonic filter and vca (you may spot it in the Berlin video in the most upper row).

Enjoy it."

Steve H Plays Buchla Easel at Superbooth Berlin 2017

Published on May 2, 2017 steveHmusic

"Steve H performs his Buchla Easel Immersion concert at Superbooth 2017 Seaside Stage.

It was a very cold, rainy day in Berlin when Steve H, AKA Steve Horelick, performed another one of his Buchla Easel 3D Sound Immersion series concerts. The Seaside stage, floating in a small lake, facing amphitheater style seating, provided a beautiful backdrop to the canvas of sound.

The sound is entirely created on ht e Buchla Easel. The "canvas" is created primarily in Logic using foot controlled sends to route the Easel to different FX aux channels. Logic's Environment is where MIDI modulators are rerouted to control surround panning. This recording is captured live from stereo mics... not through the console.

"The Bitbox from 1010 Music caught my attention when it was shown back at NAMM. It was great to check out the Fxbox and Synthbox from 1010 Music too. I'm starting to really miss Superbooth, bit of a downer like last year now I've nearly edited all these videos."

Superbooth 2017 - Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

Published on May 2, 2017 DivKidVideo

"I've been excited about the Assimil8or since Rossum Electro-Music showed it at Superbooth last year. Even with the programmer screen that Dave was working with it was already looking and sounding great. Hearing sample to sample phase modulation and seeing all the options for the module was great. Definitely excited for this."
