Synths used:
Yamaha Motif-6 classic- Organ Leslie- Danielle
Roland JV-1080- Bass- Crystal
A-90- midi controller
Juno-2- midi controller

Please enjoy!"

E-mu Emax SE: Formatting Disks (Basic)

YouTube via TheSynthFreq | January 05, 2011 |

"Hi!! :) Here is my attempt at explaining how to format floppy disks for the E-mu Emax SE sampling synthesizer. Formatting floppies for the Emax SE is a two part process that can be a little confusing.
Note: the odd sound quality of my speech is due to a cold and a hearing impairment, not the mic.
If there any part you don't understand, please comment and i will do my best to clarify it! :)

Please enjoy!
:) TSF and E-mu Emax SE (who was not harmed in this video) lol"

'A Thousand Dreams' by Danielle

YouTube Uploaded by TheSynthFreq on May 17, 2011

"Hi :) This composition is a 80s ballad featuring the Jupiter-8 (VCO 1 sine + VCO 2 tri/delta wave with saw wave LFO in the VCA), Tr-808 (Part A and B) and JV-880 (Tines) midi'd to D-50 (for velocity). This song is one of those that 'appeared' to me in a dream, completely composed. Normally songs that appear in dreams are forgotten before I have the chance to record them but this one remained.
Please enjoy :)

Korg Emx1: 80's sequence.

YouTube Uploaded by TheSynthFreq on Oct 24, 2011

"New Korg Emx-1 80s sequence. The synth [part 1] was motion sequenced. After recording the synth part (arp), I then re-recorded the resonance in the filter being moved through the frequencies to give motion to the sound and make it interesting.
Random drum machine fun. :)

"Moog It!" Analogue jam with Moog Taurus 3, JP-8 and TR-808

YouTube Uploaded by TheSynthFreq on Apr 8, 2012

"HI :) Here's a little jam session, improvisation fun with Jupiter-8 and Moog Taurus 3 bass pedals, and TR-808. This synth visited the studio for a project with a local musician friend of mine who owns the Moog. I thought take the opportunity to record a Moog bass line while it was here hanging out on the floor of the studio.
Moog is awesome!

Synths used:
Roland Jupiter-8: filtered strings
Moog Taurus 3: Moog-Tastic bass (decay time edit), D-50 midi to Moog.

TR-808: ..to keep things funky!

Roland Alpha Juno-1 & Roland Juno-60

YouTube Uploaded by TheSynthFreq on Feb 17, 2012

"Hi :) This is a 'single patch' comparison of the Juno-1 and Juno-60. This Juno-60 is visiting the studio for a few days to be repaired. This Juno-60 had a dead LFO-trig switch that now functions and a faulty volume pot that is also functioning normally now. Its a Happy Juno. Both the Juno-1 and Juno-60 are programmed to the exact same parameters and waveforms.
I wanted to record a short video to compare the two Junos while I had the opportunity as well.
This Juno-60 was a joy to have visit the studio and it is fully functioning and doing well now.

Roland Jupiter-8 "CS80" Improvisation: "The greatest love" by Danielle

YouTube Uploaded by TheSynthFreq on Apr 26, 2011

"Hi :) Here is my newest improvisation using the Roland Jupiter-8 (CS-80 lead) and the JV-880 (Jupiter-8 strings). Both patches were programmed by me. I tried to make the famous CS-80 sound on the amazing Jupiter-8. No FX used, just pure JP-8 synth. :)
This song is dedicated to my mother who is going through a lot right now.
I kept the chords simple and cheerful.

Please enjoy
:) Danielle (TSF)"

Call to Help the SynthFreq & MsMotif-6s

Published on Dec 18, 2015 TheSynthFreq

This one is in via Greg Cole with the approval of Crystal Morales aka MsMotif-6s. Many of you will be familiar with the SynthFreq and MsMotif-6s work over the years. If you are in a situation where you can help, please do.

"Many of you know Danielle Morales, also known as SynthFreq on Youtube. Danielle and her sister Crystal have been making fantastic synth videos and great tunes for years now, check out their work here if you haven't already 'Filtered Maze' by TSF.

They both have quite serious ongoing health problems and have been going through some very hard and frightening times lately with these and also accomodation issues and the potential need to sell off their beloved synths to try and keep their apartment. They are struggling to resolve this themselves as Danielle has had to be rushed to hospital a number of times recently.

I'm hoping people would be willing to donate a small amount to help out and make sure the synth freqs get to keep the gear which makes them so happy and a roof over their heads. Danielle also creates fantastic art, some of which is synth-related so alternatively you could help out by purchasing some of her work.

You can make a donation to her paypal address which is: Danielledell123@yahoo.com [or Crystal's here: crystalumbro@yahoo.com]

Any amount would be helpful, I'm sure. I'm hoping the community can get behind this and make sure these girls can keep their gear and keep making awesome synth videos. I'm sure we all understand what a difference creating music can make to our lives when times are tough.

On behalf of Danielle and Crystal, thankyou for your help."

Roland D-50 TVF: 3 TVF configurations for E-guitar patch.

YouTube via TheSynthFreq
"Hi. :) This is a short video example of 3 TVF configurations to make an E-guitar patch. The patch I made for D-50 is close to the lead sound that I wrote for the Alpha Juno-1, although it is a little thinner sounding. The Alpha Juno-1 has a very warm VCF/VCA so it is going to have a little different texture to it. I discuss some information about the TVF, Time and Levels in the TVF with attention to T2 settings. I am not a great presenter, and I talk too fast, but I hope this info makes sense and doesn't cause more confusion than necessary! :) LOL
This E-guitar patch uses 3 of the 4 oscillators and can be configured in 3 ways, 1 where the time and the effect is dependent of the time setting (T2) in the TVF, 2 where the velocity (TVF -WG PW velocity = +/- 0-7) is in effect or 3 where no velocity or time is specified, and there is no "evolution" to the sound over time.
Please enjoy!
:) TSF"

Roland D-50: Living Calliope (Patch demo)

YouTube Uploaded by TheSynthFreq on Nov 9, 2011

"HI :) Here is short example of the famous patch "Living Calliope" on the Roland D-50. This demo is a mixture of Italio Disco and just random 80s cheesyness.
My friend DavRBailey had sent this patch recently so my D-50 now has a factory preset once again. :) D-50 and I thank you. :)
When I acquired my D-50, it had no factory presets at all.
Keep in mind this is just a demo of the patch, not an actual song. :)"
