"I am selling my immaculate Prophet 5. A lot of you know me from my synthesizer channel on Youtube Synthartist69. If so, you know that I have a ton of vintage synthesizers. Well, I am selling a few, along with some drum machines. This P5 is an REV3.2, the best sounding version created! There are no issues with it. Sounds so lush and incredible! The wood is gorgeous, as are the panels. The previous owner refurbished it electronically so it is good to go. I have not had any issues with it, other than when I first got it there were a couple of keys not working completely due to shipping it. Prophets are notorious for key problems when you ship them because of the J-wire system. I had to readjust those two keys, took me about 15 minutes. Sorry for the fuzzy pictures. It is in my music room and there is a glare from the windows. Believe me, it is probably the most gorgeous P5 out there!"

"I posted an earlier version of this but the Prophet 6 was out of tune so I did a retake of just the music, hence the video sync issue at the very beginning. The background music I created several years ago. Several of my subscribers have asked me if the Prophet 6 can do Jump by Van Halen and my answer is NO, not from any of the factory patches! So, I decided to create a usable OBXa sawtooth patch myself. I simply took two oscillators and detuned them apart, dialed in the correct cutoff filter setting, attack, sustain and release. I added the onboard chorus and delay effects. I basically do this on every keyboard I buy because I do a lot of 80's music live and really need that sound :) In this video I am using my Roland JV1000 via midi to control the Prophet 6 since it only has 49 keys, so I am just playing using both keyboards but the sound is all Prophet 6. The whole 49 key deal just ruins this synth for me.... it really does, just like my Alesis Ion. Great sounding synths but with only 49 keys I am so limited and it is too much trouble to midi up another keyboard all of the time. When I play live I like my setup to be as simple as possible. "This is an 80's Polysynth Brass patch that I created on the Prophet 6. Unfortunately, the Prophet 6 only has 49 keys so I had to Midi in my Roland JV1000 to give me more keys for the left hand. Other than only having 49 keys it's a fun synth."

"Small audio demo from my jupiter clone project.

Latest additions are JP8's cross modulation section and locig for the preset buttons and display driver. There is no patch memory yet but logic for controlling patches and showing patch numbers on LCD's work.

Arpeggiator melodies are from Roland SH01 Gaias arpeggiator where I made arpeggiator patterns similar to JP8's arpeggiator."

2. Jupiter Clone Demo - Work Still In Progress.

Volume gets pretty high at the middle part of this demo while playing with PWM modulation stuff.

3.DIY Jupiter Clone - Broken Date
"Jupiter Clones casing is now done and first boards are fitted in.
In this video three voices from total of four are in use. I still need to build last two oscillator cards to get 4 voice polyphony. Filter and VCA for the last two cards is ready but needs tuning.

DR-202 is sequencing midi notes to Midi to CV converter which controls voices polyphonicly. Additional 808 beats and bassline are audioloops that I added in video editor."

4. Jupiter 8 VCO clone
"Short video from my latest DIY build.
This video shows two DIY JP VCO voice cards build on veroboard. Each containing one VCO with saw, square and pulse witdh modulation. Together these two vco cards make one voice. SH101 sends CV to voice cards and GATE trigger to DIY VCADSR circuit.

These is a small error on the info text in the video. Originals NF510 fet is replaced with 2N3819, not with 2N3918 as mentioned in the video."

via the seller: "Yes I am a real person who owns this Jupiter 8 and definitely not a scammer. I have owned it for about 4 years, had it fully serviced in July of 2012 by Mike Metz at Thesis Audio in Wichita, Kansas. The main thing I had done was the power supply rebuilt, and a full cleaning of the chips and plug wires, pots, etc. I also had the lithium battery replaced. The Jupiter was then calibrated. It was working fine when I took it in, these are just things I wanted to go ahead and have done while I had the chance. It sounds incredible and appears to possibly be the 5th Roland Jupiter down the assembly line according to my research. Serial number #030104. Everything is working and I have at least 50 videos on youtube of me playing it over the last 4 years. It has encore midi as well. The Jupiter is in beautiful condition but is not mint, with a superficial scratch here or there. I treat it as a work of art."

Cool to see a Roland Jupiter-6 in this one. You should recognize the name synthartist69 from previous posts here on MATRIXSYNTH.

"Here is a video of some friends and I recording our version of 'Just like Heaven' by The Cure. We all three used to play together in high school and decided to reunite a couple of months ago to do an 80's reunion. It's such a great pleasure to play with these guys after 27 years. Being in a band with great friends, rather than just other musicians, means everything to me! I played drums and obviously keyboards on this recording, and covered all backing vocals. Drums used were a Roland TD20SX set. Recorded using a Yamaha AW4416 Digital Recorder. We are 'A Buck Twenty-Five'.

"Here is a version of 'Jump' by Van Halen that I programmed the Jupiter 6 for. I know all the parts aren't exactly perfect. It's not easy to play all the other instruments...guitar, bass, drums either! For drums I actually used my Roland JV80 keyboard finger drums and just played the drums to the synthesizer track that I created. The recording didn't come out exactly the way I wanted it to but I must accept that I am not Eddie Van Halen by any means, not even a professional musician, just a hobbyist. Thanks for watching!"
