Oberheim OB-1 Demo/For Sale (by synthpro)

video upload by synthpro

"Hey Guys, In this video, I go over a very cool little Oberheim OB-1 I have been working on between all my other projects. As you can see in this video, its a great playing little synth once more after being dead for many years.

This particular synth belongs to David Ewing who played with Brenda Lee for 30+ years so this synth also has some awesome history behind it.

Here is a link to Tauntek's page on the OB-1 for those interested or struggling with your own repairs: http://www.tauntek.com/OB1.htm

Vintage Polymoog and Minimoog Jam (by synthpro)

video upload by synthpro

"Hey Guys,
This is just a little different video for you. I finished the restoration on this Polymoog 203a and was going through all the functional tests including the moog open interface which you see in use here with my 72 era minimoog. This feature allows you to interface other moog synthesizers to the polymoog and use the keyboard of the polymoog to control them. The 280a also has this feature as well.

Thanks for watching!

sincerely,
Jareth"

Moog Sanctuary (MemoryMoog+) SN 3136

Note auction links are affiliate links. See the site's privacy policy for more info.

Video in the listing previously posted here.

"The Moog 'Sanctuary', of which only 100 units were ever made was the brainchild of David Van Koevering. Moog Music brought Van Koevering in to guide their marketing efforts when the company had developed a stronger national presence. David worked with local church groups to find a unique marketing outlet for a custom-named set of Moog instruments (the Sanctuary and Joyful Noise designs,) re-branded versions of Moog instruments designed and programmed to appeal to more traditional church markets.

This was recently serviced (November '22) by 'SynthPro' Jareth Lackey. (invoice for works carried out included) and also now includes a modern, bespoke internal powersupply from 'Synthtaste' for added reliability.

Everything works as it should, pots and switches are all behaving perfectly.

The cabinetry is in stunning condition, it really is a synth to behold.

A short video is attached which Jareth recorded after repairs were carried out."

How To Properly Calibrate Your Minimoog Oscillators (by synthpro)

video upload by synthpro

"This is a video that I have had a request to make for some time now.
In this video I show you how to calibrate minimoogs with the version 2 oscillator board.

This video will also work for calibrating the Behringer D since it uses the same version 2 oscillator design.

NOTE: Calibration for the version 3 oscillator board is much different.

Interesting bit on the front panel de-lamination starts at 2:33. Curious what he uses to get the glue off.

Programming Prophet 5 Patch Into Memorymoog (by synthpro)

video upload by synthpro

"Hey Guys,
This is a video going over a Prophet 5 patch I have programmed into the memorymoog. This is a example of preset 3-6: Release-Repeat found in the Prophet 5.

NOTE: you may have to tweak the modulation amount and speed to get the results you are after, this can vary on Memorymoogs just a bit.

Thanks for watching!

Sincerely,
Jareth"

Andrew's Moog Modular 1C Restore Part 4 (by synthpro)

video upload by synthpro

All parts here

"Hey Guys,
We made it to a part 4 of the Moog 1C. Today, I demo of the 956 ribbon controller that goes with Andrews modular. I finished it up this morning and wanted to share it as well. I didn't mention this in the video but the ribbon controller also has CV memory so when ribbon is released, it will hold the CV levels it was at, (just like a keyboard circuit).

Thanks for watching and as always I appreciate the support.

Sincerely,
Jareth"

The Rare Moog Sanctuary

Moog Sanctuary Repair (by synthpro) video upload by synthpro

"This is a look at a very rare synth called the Sanctuary. This is bascially a rebadged Memorymoog Plus that was to be advertised/sold to churches here in the South, it was a push to help get synthesizers used in worship. This may not seem that big of a deal today with all the electronic worship music out there but this was a HUGE step back in this era."

You can find a small handful of posts mentioning the Moog Sanctuary in previous posts here.

Arp odyssey Video (by synthpro)

video upload by synthpro

"This is a little video I put together featuring a track I worte after restoring my personal Arp Odyssey 2810. I had put this synth off for at least 2 years but recently serviced a very clean 2823 model Odyssey for a local client and decided to knock my unit out at the same time. I used to work on more Arp stuff but those sliders really drove me crazy but thanks to Synthchaser's drop in slider kits its now possible to really restore these old Odysseys.

This Track features my Odyssey 2810 as well as a Rhodes sound from my Korg Radias, and drums were from a Roland TR-8

For those wanting this slider kit: https://synthchaser.com/product/synth..."

Tyrone's Realistic MG-1 Mod Testing (by Synthpro)

video upload by synthpro

"Hey Guys,

This is just a rough little video I made for Tyrone showing him some of the versatility of the modified MG-1 I have been working on.

Here are the mods:
Polyphonic section modulation
Extra LFO
LFO Morph Mix control for VCF/Poly Section
Pulse width as well as PWM amount for both Oscillators
OSC 2 modifications allowing +/- octave detune
+/- Key Octave Transpose
Independent Poly Section Output With Mix
CV input for VCF Modulation
CV input for Pitch Modulation
CV input for Pulse Width Modulation
LFO Morph output
And finally my gain stage changes to make this thing have that classic powerful moog tone.

Thanks for watching!

Sincerely,
Jareth"
