2) oscillator 3 sync with osc1/osc2 or off
3) oscillator 3 frequency hi/low switch
4) sync depth (Threshold) Pot/control

random voltage

"A true modular synthesizer is a synthesizer where the different sound generators, processors and control facilities are presented as independent objects without preconceived signal and/or control paths inbetween. The musician/composer chooses the combination of modules and connects them according to the musical idea, essentially creating a new instrument for each "patch".

This was the way all synthesizers were designed in the beginning. Soon some manufacturers discovered that it was more commercially successful to pre-package the synthesizer in a certain way, locking it into a single patch with just a few choices available to the musician and attaching a piano keyboard to the circuit. The word "synthesizer" quickly became synonymous with this design, often even called "keyboard" and used almost exclusively by pianists. Most people out there are not even aware of the modular synthesizer design. In the process of commercializing the synthesizer its abstract sound world had to be mainstreamed by letting it imitate acoustic instruments - strings, brass etc. Synthesizer quality was measured in terms of how realistic its sounds were.

The synthesizer is so much more."

From the Modular Synthesizers section Be sure to see random voltage for more including audio.

Update via the comments: the modules are from the Buchla 200 series.

Musikmesse: Doepfer Black Energy

"Dark Energy is a monophonic stand-alone Synthesizer with USB and Midi interface. The sound generation and all modulation sources are 100% analog, only the USB and Midi interface contains digital components.

Dark Energy is built into a rugged black metal case with wooden side plates. High quality potentiometers with metal shafts are used and each potentiometers is fixed to the case (no wobbly shafts and knobs). The distance between the controls is a bit wider compared to A-100 modules and knobs with vintage look are used.

Dark Energy is also available as module A-111-5 for usage within the the modular system A-100. The only differences are the missing power supply and USB/Midi interface and the module uses the standard distances between the controls. The VCO frequency CV input (1V/octave) and the Gate input are normalled to the corresponding signals of the A-100 bus via jumpers. The jumpers can be used to interrupt the internal bus connections.

Dark Energy: Euro 400.00, Release date: June 2009"

spotted this one on Gearjunkies. I'm not seeing it on the Doepfer site yet or other.

Organ demo 3/5 - Yamaha HE-8

YouTube via organfairy
"The HE-8 from 1989 was the biggest organ in the HE series from Yamaha. I works with a combination of wavetable and FM synthesis which Yamaha called Advanced Wave Memory - or AWM.
Normally I use it with an external drum machine. But in this the third organ demo I use it as it is with nothing attached.

The songs are:

Seven Tears (W.E.Stein, W.Jass)
Equinoxe VII (J.M. Jarre)
Cry just a little bit (?)
La Chambre séparée (E.Donato, J.D.Parker-Tanja, W.Lang, T.Ockerse)
Hi-Fi (Troels Trier, Rebekka Brüel)
Rivers of Babylon (Brent Dowe, Trevor McNaughton)
Lovers Concerto (Sandy Linzer, Denny Randell)"
