Future Is Now - track produced entirely on the iPhone

"Amidio has got a secret technology called ioLibrary that allows data sharing between our audio apps and Intua Beatmaker (for sequencing). This way, anyone can create impressive tracks using nothing but the iPhone! http://amidio.com"

Karl Ekdahl Feature on the Baltimore City Paper
The Baltimore City Paper has a great article on Karl Ekdahl and the Moisturizer. You might remember the Moisturizer from this post featuring video of the device. The following is just an excerpt from the BCP article, be sure to see it for more.
"'I want to present a box to people, and the knobs will have names on them that people have never seen before," he continues. "And not do that to be funny, but because those knobs have never existed before, so I had to make them up. And I think that's much more interesting, or much more challenging. Right now, there are a trillion and one pedal businesses out there, and they're all making another fuzz box. And that's not really interesting. Because there's so much out there. What I'm aiming to do, generally, is make new things, or things particularly broken or erroneous. I don't think the world needs another distortion box not from me anyway.'" Updated Postcards Released
via the BugBrand mailing list:
"Hi all,
In the last bug-mail I mentioned that newly updated PostcardWeevils would be arriving shortly...
Well - they're now here!
Description & Shop
On the Blog
I am very happy with the update - the overall feel and appearance have been nicely improved.
Better dials - better line-output - better presentation -- but, of course, maintaining the same wondrous sonic world of the previous version!
The only slight down is that the price has also had to rise a bit due to improved parts and a slightly longer construction..
The first batch is available now - further batches are likely towards the end of August.
There are also just a couple more BoardWeevils currently available too - again, further batches sometime in August.
** **
Some people may also be interested to see the YouTube clip of the freshly updated CTL1 - Touch Panel, one of the core goodies of the BugModular range.
http://bugbrand.blogspot.com/2009/07/ctl1-touch-panel-version2.html

So ends July...
Cheers & best to all!

Here are a few pics of Charlotte the cat inspecting a recently
acquired Farfisa Fast 5 organ, that is in my studio / living room.
Note - seen under plastic in the background, top to bottom:
Roland SH-101, Korg MS-2000 and Ensoniq EPS sampler / workstation."
