PLAN B Model 15 Rev. 2.5 - Complex VCO

via this auction
"The immensely popular Plan B Model 15 is an analog Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) featuring an all-discrete component triangle wave core, two independent fully processed (+/-) VC inputs, a single 1V/Oct input, a dedicated linear FM input, sync, and independent Sine, Triangle, Saw, PWM and Wave Morph Outputs. The VC Wave Morph is a vactrol-based (read: smooth) crossfade function via a manual pot setting or VC control and the morphs from Sine to either Saw or Square wave outputs.

Due to it's triangle core architecture, the sound replicates that of the Buchla 258 with stability better than .01% (less than 4 hertz drift at 1kHz over 24 hours) and boasts a frequency range of 1 to 20Khz and a maximum power consumption of only 40mA.

Various component improvements on the Model 15 core have increased for 1V/oct tracking to seven octaves requiring only single pot adjustments for periodic calibration and none of the hick-ups associated with sawtooth core VCOs past the 3k limit.

The Model 15 has been mechanically redesigned with it's electronics resting parallel to the faceplate, bringing the overall depth from over 4 inches in previous revisions to less than 1 1/8th inches with the Rev. 2."

ME80 THE AFTERTOUCH SYNTHESIZER

Just released today. You can find full details here including samples.

"The sound of ME80 will remind you of an acoustic instument. It sounds synthetic, but has the expression of a real instrument. You can shape the tone with aftertouch like you would do on a brass instrument. The velocity feels very alive with a seperate velocity-envelope that took 1 year to develop. Different velocities will have totally different envelope shape. If you want arpeggiators on this synth you do not deserve to play it. The instrument takes practice to master, like a real instrument. Polyphonic aftertouch is supported, but you can select "last played" mode for the aftertouch, and you will have fake polyphonic response from your mono aftertouch keyboard."

Studio Electronics MidiMini Moog Rack Synthesizer

SN 1297 via this auction

"Studio Electronics MidiMini, essentially a MiniMoog in a rack. The initial runs were called MidiMoogs, the story goes that the name changed when Studio Electronics ran out of original MiniMoogs to convert and started using some cloned components (although there's also an alternate version of the story where the name changed solely for copyright reasons). This machine is in excellent cosmetic shape and has been working fine doing bassline duty in a lightly used, smoke-free home studio, however PLEASE NOTE: it could use a service as the oscillators go very wobbly and unstable when adjusting their settings. I've posted a sound file (http://www.scientitian.com/files/Midimini1.mp3) which just has a normal bass sound at the start and then at 34 secs I open up the filter and start adjusting the footage and waveform settings and you can hear the oscillators going loopy, then settling down again as they're retuned (please ignore the intermittent white noisy helicopter sound in the background, it's not from the Midimini but another synth leaking through the mixer which I didn't notice when doing the recording). This MidiMini was purchased from E-Bay several years ago and although it was advertised as being in perfect working condition the oscillators have had this issue from the get go, oscillator #1 has been the main offender in the past but, in testing the unit yesterday, it now seems to be working fine again." inside a Midi Mini.
