The Projector (piano and modular synthesizer improvisation)

YouTube via SynthManiaDotCom | July 06, 2010

"An improvisation on piano and modular synthesizer. The central theme is a projector that reflects images pertinent to my life. The genre is ambient, slow and contemplative - I suppose there are some influences by Satie and the theme from The Persuaders.

Instruments used: Kurzweil K2500X for the piano, Synthesizers.com modular for the synth.'

"Whenever you want me" - on a pile of Yamaha toy keyboards

YouTube via organfairy | July 07, 2010

"Previously I have done some covers on a pile of Casio toy keyboards. But this time I am playing some Yamahas instead.
Most of them gets their sound from a simple FM synthesizer which makes them sound a bit cheap compared to the Casios. But still I found a way to make the seven keyboards I used fit nicely together in the mix.

The song is "Whenever you want me" by Danish band Laid Back."

Meteor Table Time - Serge Creature Vs. Zombie Baby & Mullet (1st Adventure)

YouTube via arthurpainter | July 07, 2010

"Trapped in a static limbo of their own devise, our heroes pretend not to notice the Creature's noisy spew. Who will win this war of wills? Only Rex Probe knows for sure (give him a call). Many thanks to ether^ra for birthing our favorite poker-faced sociopath, Zombie Baby. Mullet is based on a combination of K-Mart surrealism and Long Island genetic engineering. As the philosopher says 'ENJOY'."

Meteor Table Time - Serge Creature Vs. Zombie Baby & Mullet (2nd Adventure)

" arthurpainter | July 07, 2010

Our heroes are still twiddling the Creature's plentiful knobs in that static-filled, semi- hypnagogic state we (and the Wire) love so much. I guess we're all somewhat needy and ready to hang on to the latest (and maybe most meaningless) of "concepts". Silly."

ARP 2600 with 3620 Keyboard and Mods

via this auction

"This particular synth was restored by John @ Synhouse.com. It is the model 2601 and has the model 3620 keyboard. This is a matching pair, both serial numbers are 0413. Very hard to find these things with matching serials, for some reason. This synth comes with an original ARP 2600 manual, which is in good condition, the glue is old and the first couple of pages have come loose. It also comes with some original patch cords as well as custom patch cords, you can see them in the picture. This is a very special ARP as it has MIDI installed. It very well may be the first and ONLY ARP 2600 to have that. You can see picture 7 where the MIDI jack is located, the reset button (in picture 8) is discretely located. For very simple instructions on how the MIDIJack works go to http://www.synhouse.com/M1-Analog-User.html It is very simple.

Also, there were some modifications done to this synth, prior to the restoration, as you can see in photos 9 and 10. These were left intact, since they were cool, and just added some extra capabilities. The red tape is from the original modification, circa late 70's. This ARP 2600 was purchased from a studio in California and is rumored to have been used in some capacity during the filming of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". It cannot be confirmed or denied, so take it for what it is, a cool little tidbit. I have A/Bed this with the Timewarp 2600 and the Arturia 2600 virtual synths and it is not even close! This monster blows them away. Do not believe the hype. These old analog synths are VERY much worth whatever you pay for them. They may sound similar when you record the synth digitally, but if you play the synth through a PA, then play the virtual, digitized version through the PA, YOU CAN DEFINITELY HEAR THE DIFFERENCE! If I were playing live, it would be a no brainer. You really can hear the difference."
