YouTube Woes and Clean-Up

Just a heads up. YouTube either has a bug on their end or they are rolling out limits on how many people you can subscribe to. Currently I am getting the following message when trying to subscribe to anyone new:

"You have too many subscriptions compared to your number of subscribers"

That said, my list really is way too long. I subbed to every single account that ended up with a post on the site. Quite a few of my subcriptions haven't posted in over a year and a ton haven't really posted new synth content. That said, I'm cleaning house. If you use your account for non synth videos and I unsub, just send the synth videos in directly moving forward. My contact info is on the bottom right of the site. BTW, if you have or know of any good YouTube channels with synth content that I haven't posted before, send it in. Just do a search for the YouTube account name on the top left of the site first. Any videos previously posted will come up. Note only videos that showcase specific gear goes up here on MATRIXSYNTH, general synth vids go up on MATRIXSYNTH-C. BTW, if your vids have been featured here numerous times, don't worry, I won't be unsubscribing.

iPhone Audio Sequencer Prototype

iPhone Audio Sequencer Prototype from Marek Bereza on Vimeo.

"A basic sample sequencer for the iPhone. 9 different sounds, 16 divisions to the bar. There's also real-time DSP effects: filter, delay, pitch control. And a channel mixer, so you can control the volume of each sample.

Built with openFrameworks and ofxiPhone.

Currently only goes up to 22050kHz/Mono, but I'm working on it."

Physical Sequencer

Physical Sequencer from Marek Bereza on Vimeo.

"'Physical Sequencer', part of Yamaha/RCA's "Making Fun Serious" exhibition at Chappell of Bond Street (a big old music shop).

The software is based on my iPhone app, thump ( mrkbrz.com/thump/ ), but this time, controlled physically rather than via a screen. There were 8 steps in the sequence and 7 different sounds. Each cell has a depth sensor with which you can turn the cell on or off. The cells each have a light indicating whether they're active or not and a light indicating the which part of the sequence you're on. It kind of makes you want to dance.

The concept belongs to Giuseppe Guerriero ( giuseppe-guerriero.com/ ) and the electronics hardware was done by Stefan Dzisiewski-Smith ( bycgwtsf.com/ )

Built with openFrameworks"

"Here's the project I submitted for music hack day (it won!). It uses your webcam to look to see if your mouth is open and then plays a sound if it is.

"The Minimoog at 40 - Interested in the Minimoog Voyager XL and want to see the big picture? Check out the cover of the October 2010 issue of KEYBOARD Magazine.

The issue is devoted to the 40 year history of the Minimoog and the cover is a special double-wide, foldout. That was the only way they were able to fit the XL on it!"
