Live Serge Modular Patching 001

Live Serge Modular Patching 001 from Rastko Lazic on Vimeo.

"Me patching the Serge Synthesizer.

I made this video to show how patching of this synth looks like.
I actually perform like this where I start from nothing."

My Favorite Serge "Animal" Feedback Patches from Rastko Lazic on Vimeo.

"A small demonstration of my favorite and often used feedbacks on the Serge "Animal" panel.

I love the sounds of analogue feedback. They make the Serge alive and it makes me happy to discover these nice spots on the panel.

The video is intended for people who are getting into modulars, have the Animal panel and are interested to experiment with feedback.

The patches are clearly laid out so that they can be copied on any system.
Copying this patches on a computer system would make the computer crash, at least in the modular synth software I have tried.

There are a lot of variations that can be done and a lot of "things" can be added in the feedback path but that I will leave to the users as discovering is fun."

"This Module combines a divider and attenuverters for each division. The voltages of each division are available at single outs, and they are available at a summed output. This creates nice patterns of bipolar voltages, and you can use it as a simple divider, too."

Buchla 250e as cv recorder, sample/hold style

YouTube Uploaded by brandonrsmith23 on Apr 26, 2011

"Demo of technique using the 250e to record cv being fed in externally by using 'Fix', an idea @boobtube356 (aka dougcl) suggested, which works quite well! Fix, it turns out, is a little different than the other buttons on the 250e in that it can be hit on the fly without the stage needing to be in edit mode, so you can just hold it down as it goes through the cycle to fix or unfix a stage. Once a stage is flipped into a fixed state, it needs to be unfixed if you want to try fixing another voltage, it won't just keep changing as it goes around and around. For some reason doing the vid it wasn't holding onto the 'time' when I tried that, but I swear it was last night! will look into that. anyway, pretty fun, lots of possibilities, like I still haven't played with this using strobe or continuous, and that is bound to be cool too, and doug was talking about using it in conjunction with another 250e or 251e, which kind of make my mind reel. need to try using it with numerology feeding in the cv too."

A melody about a disaster.

YouTube Uploaded by organfairy on Apr 26, 2011

"Sorry for being a bit melodramatic here. But some years ago I suddenly felt the urge to make a melody with a disaster theme after watching a documentary called "Life after people". And considering what happened 25 years ago today (26th of April) I think the time is right for uploading this.

The music is played on Yamaha HE-8 organ with CVS-10 expander, Korg Rhythm 55 drum machine and Roland JX-8P synthesizer. The soundeffects at the beginning and end is recorded with my little digital camera and modified in Cool Edit Pro 2.0."

"Some patches I have made for the Jupiter-8, many more to come soon. :) This video is to show the current condition and functioning of this JP-8 for its owner.
I also go through a few preset patches at 6:54 ,towards the end of the video.
at the end, I play a short few notes of Howard Jones' riff that he played on his JP-8, I couldn't resist lol
This Jupiter-8 belongs to a friend of mine. :)

Please enjoy!

"Maybe it is not new for you but I think that is a really nice tip for recording drums with GarageBand for iPad using the SmartDrums. That Smart Instrument can record your gestures over the pad while recording.

Talvez isso não seja novo para você, mas acho que esta é uma dica bem legal para gravar a bateria com o GarageBand para iPad usando o SmartDrums. Este Smart Instrument pode memorizar seus gestos sobre o pad enquanto faz a gravação.
