AHNE – Audio-Haptic Navigation Environment

AHNE – Audio-Haptic Navigation Environment from Matti Niinimäki on Vimeo.

"This is a demonstration video of AHNE - Audio-Haptic Navigation Environment.

It is an audio-haptic user interface that allows the user to locate and manipulate sound objects in 3d space with the help of audio-haptic feedback.

The user is tracked with a Kinect sensor using the OpenNI framework and OSCeleton (github.com/Sensebloom/OSCeleton).

The user wears a glove that is embedded with sensors and a small vibration motor for the haptic feedback.

This is just the first proof-of-concept demo. More videos coming soon.

"This is my repaneled version of the Synthesis Technology MOTM 410 Triple Resonant Filter. I was asked to do this, and at first I was a bit hesitant, as I really like Paul Schreiber's original design for this and his other modules, but after some thought decided "what the heck". And so, here it is. It's basically functionally identical to the original design, with the addition of an input level switch, which was an pcb option on the original."

Driscoll modular demo - Similar to serge DUSG, NTO & ASR

YouTube Uploaded by AntiEquation on Jun 1, 2011
"Quick demo for an Internet sale. Dual ASR, 4 Slope Gens in DUSG config, 2 NTO style oscillators with Sync and PWM! I prefer the Driscoll Oscs to NTOs although they are less stable. The Dual Processor was not used.

No post or effects other than cuts. Probably a bit quiet as I forgot to normalize the recording."

If you don't get these videos, the easiest way to put it is, sometimes it's about listening to sound rather than music. Kind of like cloud, star gazing, or an audio kaleidoscope. It's also about the mood sound sets you in.

Flight Of Harmony 'Sound Of Shadows' Insert

YouTube Uploaded by bigcitymusic on Sep 1, 2011
"http://bigcitymusic.com/ We wanted to show the SOS's insert in this video. You can patch the delay out to an external processor module and affect just the delayed signal. In this instance we're using the WMD Geiger Counter module to add some bit crushing to our delays. This works great with all kinds of other effects too. Try a ring modulator, distortion, or even another delay for some great results."
